Blaze of Glory || Jacen + Carter
Jacen hadn’t really thought anyone would truly want his date. He was more so probably hoping to be the odd one out, but he was doing it for charity. He was glad no one had spent an obscene amount on it because well it wasn’t worth all that. It was just a gun rage and dinner. But the most interesting thing about this date had been the name of the person that had one it. Carter Pierce. He’d wondered if she was any relation to the family his mother used to work for, and in his mind he’d also ran through the possibilities of if he was getting himself into another Olivia situation with the prissy rich girl. But The brother hadn’t turned out the same so if she had been a part of the family, maybe there was hope for her.
He had gotten on his motorcycle heading to the address, the one he’d known to be the oldest Pierce sibling’s home. Yeah he checked it out in the database at work and had even attempted to run a background check on the girl herself, but came up with nothing. The person didn’t exist. He was either going to enjoy himself or hate himself for this date. But only time would tell as he pulled up and headed toward the house.
Jacen was impressed that it wasn’t an extravagant house. It was moderate and not even flashy, as he knocked on the door, Damien opened. Jacen chuckled. “Whoa, dude not only have you grown, but packed on the muscle. You used to be a dork ass theater boy,” Jacen said. To which Damien laughed. “I’m still a dork ass theater boy, I can just also kick your ass if need be.” He gave him a fist bump and a half hug. “Very long time no see. Make sure she comes back in one piece,” Damien warned. “And if she doesn’t come back, you’re gonna have to deal with me.” Jacen held his hands up. “I promise I’ll take care of her. I’m not in the kidnapping business. Promise.” He shifted his weight from one foot to the other as he waited for his date.
When he finally did see her, he said, “Hey, I’m Jacen. I promised the big guy over there I’d return you in one piece, so you’re not opposed to motorcycles are you? If you are, I’ll get us an uber,” he offered, not wanting to make the girl uncomfortable.
