writeblr re-intro
hello! seeing as i’ve now had this blog for three years (as of today) i thought it was probably time for a formal re-introduction (and also because i don’t think i ever did a proper intro in the first place). so here’s a wee bit about me!
my name is em, i’m an eighteen year old student from scotland! i mainly write in the fantasy genre, but also have a romance wip on the backburner.
currently, my main wips are:
‘three girls and a sword’ a ya fantasy about three girls — ceallan, tordrai, and sorsha — all searching for the legendary sword of queen ealda who brought magic to their world, in a time when magic is a commodity reserved mainly for the privileged, wealthy few. (currently working on second draft.)
AND
‘go like shadow’ an adult fantasy in a world inspired both by the industrial revolution and celtic mythology, in which a group of women from varying magical backgrounds investigate murders and the theft of magic, spirits, and souls from the dead, while uncovering the legacy of a dragon said to be long dead, and now rising. (first draft complete, second draft not yet written.)
asides from writing, i love history, theatre, dance, and baking! i’m also really interested in etymology and languages, and am trying to learn gaidhlig/scottish gaelic. please feel free to pop up, i’d really love to get to know more fellow writeblrs!
