When they see extremely obvious symptoms of various mental health problems described as “art block”, they may think: “oh, so that’s what art block is – what I am experiencing is a normal part of being an artist.” Like, this isn’t hypothetical; I have literally met folks who didn’t realise they were depressed or what-have-you for the longest time because they thought they just had “art block”.

I can remember about half of them. My earliest memory was probably 1995 and they go from there.
