things that i've grown to love as i've gotten older <3
this is honestly just a random amalgamation of things and ideas that i love. i feel like i've grown to appreciate the little things as i've gotten older, and i wanted to make a list of them for funsies :)

stacks of journals filled with poetry and collages, detailing my life
i've been journaling since my junior year of high school, and now i'm in my junior year of college :,) oh, how time flies...
notebooks full of class notes messily stacked next to my bookshelf, for easy reference
similarly, my favorite books neatly ordered in my bookshelf, also for easy reference
the ones i love pulling out the most are any books about the music industry and "how to be perfect" by michael schur - a great, easy to read overview of ethics and moral philosophy. also, the great gatsby (my favorite classic).
any playlist i've ever made
i love creating playlists for every season, every holiday, every situation. it gives me an opportunity to expand my music taste, and i love taking photos from my camera roll to put as covers, so i get to be reminded of little moments from my life every time i click on a playlist.
a warm cozy space to retreat to when the world gets to be too much
i adore my bedroom more than anything. i have soft string lights hung everywhere, a big, cozy blanket that i hand-crocheted, and framed quotes and reminders hung around - "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent" -eleanor roosevelt; and "dear friends are the better part of ourselves." also mirrors, to make the room feel bigger.
my google calendar, with all my classes and personal events color-coded - every assignment, test, and quiz inputted into it
the lao tzu quote i've had on a stickie on my home screen since my senior year of high school, because my favorite teacher told it to me: "watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch you habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny"
i absolutely LIVE by this quote, every single day.
my notes app - it's all organized by section and i have everything i believe to be important pinned to the top
i especially love my poetry section, it's some of the best work i've done and i love to read through it and watch how i've progressed throughout the years.
along with the previous bullet, the quote book i have in my notes app
whenever i'm having a bad day, all i need to do is look through that quote book and i'm instantly smiling again.
trinkets
i love collecting things from little trips and adventures i take with my friends and boyfriend. i have a little box that i keep all my memories with my boyfriend in too <3
essays, reflection papers, and writing assignments from 12th grade and beyond
i just recently wrote a reflection paper for my music industry class, and i was so proud of how it turned out. i love looking back at my old 12th grade writing assignments too, because my teacher made me want to do my absolute best work.
binder(s) with business plan(s) i have yet to create
i have to create a business plan for two different classes this year, one of which i haven't even taken yet, but i love the idea of having all of the papers and data printed and neatly put in a binder, and maybe even having a collection of them one day to look back on.
a clean room
this is a big one for me - i love having a spotless floor, a made bed, and a clean desk to go along with the cozy/whimsical vibe of my bedroom.
random thoughts and questions about morality and ethics based on events from my daily life
similarly, the ethical questions i think about on the daily whenever i do something (thank you michael schur)
all the stuffies that sit on my bed :)
organizing all my school tabs and keeping a physical and digital to-do list of everything i need to do, academic or not
i loveeeee writing to-do lists, mostly because i get a big sense of accomplishment every time i get to check something off. honestly, that's what motivates me to do schoolwork most of the time - if it works, it works!
spreadsheets. i LOVE spreadsheets. i will make a spreadsheet for anything and everything
same with slideshows. you want a slideshow, i'll make it. no matter what.
the random crafts and whatnot i have scattered around my room
i have jars of paper stars that i folded by hand, all in rainbow order. i have a minecraft sunset painting i did myself this past summer, and i have bits of every bouquet of flowers my boyfriend has given me pressed and framed. i also have a 3D minecraft dandelion i painted using acrylics and small wooden blocks :)
