i woke up this morning and the room was still that weird, dusty blue color it gets right before the sun actually decides to show up. you know that feeling? when you’re halfway between the world where you can fly and the world where you have to worry about your screen time? it’s LITERALLY the most magical time of day. i just sat there for like, twenty minutes, staring at the ceiling and trying to hold onto the edges of the dream i just had. it felt like trying to catch smoke with my bare hands, but i’ve gotten SO good at it lately.
i’ve been thinking about how our brains are basically just indie movie directors that only work the night shift. like, we spend all day curating our feeds and our outfits, but then we go to sleep and our subconscious is like, "anyways, here is a giant bird wearing your favorite vintage boots." it’s CRAZY. and honestly? it’s the most authentic part of us. i’ve been keeping this little velvet-bound book (yess a very whimsical journal) on my nightstand for a whole year now, and looking back through it feels like reading a secret map of my own soul.
i decided it was finally time to stop keeping the lore to myself and actually share the dictionary i’ve been building. because... i feel like we’re all kind of dreaming the same things? like we’re all connected in this big, weird, esoteric web. so i wanted to write this out, not JUST as a diary entry, but also as a guide for you to start looking at your own sleep as a LITERAL infinite source of inspiration. ☾ ⋆

this has been the biggest recurring vibe for me this year. i’m standing in a field of tall, silver grass, and there is this tower. it’s BEAUTIFUL. it looks like it’s made of moonstone or maybe just very polished white marble, and it reaches so high up that the top is literally lost in the clouds. but when i walk around it… nothing. no handle, no hinges, no cracks. just smooth, cold stone.
☾ 𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖎𝖙’𝖘 𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖏 𝖚𝖘: this is the ULTIMATE symbol for boundaries. it’s about having a part of yourself that is so sacred and so protected that you don’t even have an entrance for it yet. it’s that "gatekeep, gaslight, girlboss" energy but in a way that’s actually healthy lol. it’s a reminder that you don’t owe everyone access to your inner world. some parts of your soul are meant to stay unvisited until you’re ready to build the door yourself.
☾ 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖊𝖘𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖈 𝖑𝖊𝖘𝖘𝖔𝖓: if you see the tower, stop looking for a way in. just appreciate the silhouette. sometimes the mystery is the point. in your waking life, if you feel like people are pushing for too much of you, remember the tower. be the tower. be smooth and unreachable and GORGEOUS. 𓏲

this one is actually so aesthetic but also kind of spooky. i’m usually in a city that looks like a mix of paris and nyc, and the ocean just starts… coming in. it’s not a wave, it’s just a slow, gentle rise. it flows into the shops, it covers the cobblestones, and it just stays there. the water is crystal clear and it has these little glimmers of gold in it. and the weirdest part? nobody is scared. we’re all just walking around with water up to our knees like it’s the new normal.
☾ 𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖎𝖙’𝖘 𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖏 𝖚𝖘: this is about PERMANENT emotional shifts. you know when you have a realization or a heartbreak or a major "aha" moment and you just KNOW you can never go back to who you were before? that’s the tide. the old world is gone, and you’re living in a new, more fluid reality. i think it's about acceptance. the water isn't there to drown you, it’s just there to change the way you walk.
☾ 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖊𝖘𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖈 𝖑𝖊𝖘𝖘𝖔𝖓: don’t try to wait for the "dry land" to come back. it isn't coming back, bestie!! buy some cute waterproof boots and learn to vibe with the flood. when life gets heavy or emotional, don't fight it. just let the tide move inland and find the beauty in the reflection on the surface. 𓁺 ♡

okay, this one LITERALLY makes my heart skip a beat every time. i’ll be in a room full of vintage clocks, like the ones with the gold filigree and the heavy pendulums, and i look at the biggest one. instead of two hands, there’s a third one, and it’s glowing. and it doesn't move with the seconds. it just tracks me around the room. it’s like a compass, but for time.
☾ 𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖎𝖙’𝖘 𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖏 𝖚𝖘: this is the universe literally pointing at you and saying, "IT IS YOUR TIME." it’s the "thirteenth hour", which is a secret pocket of time where anything is possible. it’s a symbol of divine alignment. the clock isn't telling you you’re late, it’s saying you are the main character of this specific moment.
☾ 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖊𝖘𝖔𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖈 𝖑𝖊𝖘𝖘𝖔𝖓: stop living by everyone else’s schedule. the extra hand is your own personal timeline. if you feel like you’re "behind" in life, look for the extra hand. it’s pointing at YOU for a reason. you aren't late, you’re just operating on a different frequency. embrace the thirteen-hour energy. ☾ ⋆

i don't want you to just read my dictionary, i want you to write your own!! because your brain has its own specific dialect and it’s SO important to learn how to speak it. here is how i actually do this every single day. it’s a whole ritual.
♡ 𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖕 𝖔𝖓𝖊: 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖎𝖒𝖒𝖊𝖉𝖎𝖆𝖙𝖊 𝖉𝖚𝖒𝖕 ♡
as soon as you open your eyes, do NOT touch your phone. do not check your notifications. the blue light will LITERALLY bleach the symbols out of your brain. grab your notebook (make sure it’s a cute one, the vibe matters!!) and just write keywords. "tower," "water," "blue shoes," "cold coffee." don't worry about making it a story yet. just get the "nouns" of the dream down.
♡ 𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖕 𝖙𝖜𝖔: 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖛𝖎𝖇𝖊 𝖈𝖍𝖊𝖈𝖐 ♡
once you have your list, look at each word and ask yourself: "what is the texture of this?" was the tower cold? was the water warm? did the clock tick loudly? the "feeling" of the object is way more important than what a dream dictionary on the internet says. if a snake in your dream felt like a cozy scarf, then for YOU, a snake means comfort. forget the "standard" meanings. we are building a PERSONAL lexicon here.
♡ 𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖕 𝖙𝖍𝖗𝖊𝖊: 𝖋𝖎𝖓𝖉 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖗𝖊𝖈𝖚𝖗𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖈𝖊 ♡
look back through your notes every sunday. what keeps showing up? if you see "water" three times a week, that’s a major theme. that’s your subconscious trying to get your attention. highlight those. those are your "power symbols."
♡ 𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖕 𝖋𝖔𝖚𝖗: 𝖕𝖍𝖞𝖘𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖏𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖑𝖔𝖗𝖊 ♡
this is where the real magic happens. take one symbol from your week and bring it into the real world. if you dreamed of a tower, buy those cute miniature towers at micheal's or something. if you dreamed of the tide, put a bowl of sea salt on your vanity. it tells your brain, "i see you, i hear you, and i’m paying attention." it creates this CRAZY feedback loop where your dreams get even more detailed and helpful.

☾ keep a piece of raw labradorite next to your bed. it’s the stone of magic and transformations, and it LITERALLY helps you see through the "veil." plus, it’s just really pretty and looks great in photos lol.
☾ before you fall asleep, set a "dream intention." literally whisper to your pillow, "tonight, show me the door." or "tonight, show me the truth." it’s like giving your brain a prompt.
☾ if you have a dream that feels "heavy," don't just ignore it. talk about it out loud. tell your cat, tell your mirror, tell your best friend. once the words are in the air, the "weight" of the dream starts to make sense.
☾ try to sleep in natural fibers. linen or cotton LITERALLY help your energy stay grounded while your mind is off wandering in the astral plane. it’s a total game changer for dream recall, i swear.
i honestly feel like this year has been one big lesson in learning to trust the things i can't see. the tower, the tide, the clock. they aren't just "random images." they are the language of my higher self trying to guide me through all the chaos of being a girl in the world right now. it’s working. i feel more connected to my intuition than ever before.
i want you to start looking for your own dictionary. what is the one thing that keeps appearing for you? is it a specific color? a person you haven't seen in years? a house you’ve never lived in? pay attention. the universe is trying to tell you a story, and you’re the star of every single scene.
stay whimsical, stay esoteric, and for the love of all things aesthetic, keep that dream journal by your bed!!
