i noticed I've been getting more early shifts rather than closes recently which is nice because i get to go home earlier so i brought it up casually to my assistant manager and she said "oh yeah it's because you've lost weight" and i. assuming it was some sort of joke. awkwardly laughed and she was like "no im not joking, [manager] gives people better shifts based on how pretty she thinks they are" and i was like. oh. and then she said "if you start wearing makeup to work she'll probably promote you to shift leader" so. okay.

this is also apparently why she was so adamant about me getting claw clips to put my hair up, because it makes me look better than a low ponytail
