i am soo glad you asked

my favourite thing about them is how much influence, importance,  Rin has in Haru’s life and vice versa. From the moment they met each other when they were kids  Rin made a 180º turn in Haru’s life.

let’s go from the beggining shall we?

Haru was swimming calmly

but then Rin came and started to get ahead of him

so haru started to go faster ( look at the water)

bitches were already starting to compete against each other and they didn’t even know each other

goddamit, anyway laters they began to compete at anything

Haru was alone,  the only people in his life were his grandma and makoto. Normal kid, kinda bored with his life

But then Rin came and everything changed.  

Rin was just being himself. 

but Haru was extremely angry with him, with the way he acted and also because he was pestering to join the relay.

then haru started to copy rin, like the time when rin said he runs home from the swimming club

haru did the same even leaving he’s bike at the swimming club

rin was fucking mesmerized by haru’s swimming

when rin said he was leaving for Australia, Haru felt betrayed in my opinion

when rin came back and they met accidently

he was so happy to see him again, i think thats the first time we see shota haru smiling, i dont remember well

the two idiots get embarassed 

oh wow look at that haru is sulking a bit

everything went down the drain when haru won in that race in middle school

haru went after rin, he coulnd’t even put his towel in his bag, he just wanted to catch up with him

rin had a breakdown and said he quits swimming

haru quits swimming competitively because he hurts rin

after that the rin comes back, but he wasn’t the same cheerful kid he was. 

BUT

NO MATTER THE TIMES HARU GOT ANGRY AT RIN.  

HARU ALWAYS BELIEVED IN RIN NO MATTER HOW HE TREATED HIM

NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES HE HURT HIM

(baby looks like he’s crying)

(but we know he doenst really cry)

HARU WILL ALWAYS BELIEVE IN RIN.

(saying that the reason he swim for is rin)

(rin cant get up from the pool haru runs to him)

( haru running around screaming "Rin, dokoda?!")

HARU WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO HELP HIM EVEN WHEN RIN DOENS’T WANT TO 

in these scene rin is going to puch haru in the face, haru stops him then they fall to the ground, Rin pusshes him:

(yet haru is still garbbing rin)

after rin sees that he finally  calms down and when they get up haru raises his hnd towards him

haru forgives him because he knows that this is not how rin really acts

even when they were kids they never lost sight of each other
