After the hex stone gets stolen from Piltover, the Firelights decide to investigate the incident, although they are aware that this would have been Jinx’s doing and they easily find evidence to prove that theory, but they notice that there is some sort of corruption within the enforces, considering how Marcus silences somebody who is clearly on a good track to find out that Jinx, who works for Silco is behind this.
They now investigate Marcus and what's that? They find out that Vi is still alive and was just held in prison for all these years.
Assuming Jinx knows about that little secret Ekko goes to confront her about it but Jinx doesn’t knew it either and is understandably upset that Silco withheld that information from her.
She goes to confront Silco about it. As he tries to explain that he thought Vi was dead she gets even more angry “You wanted that Marcus guy to kill her didn’t you!” She snappes and tries to attack him but Sevika is there and fights Jinx. They both get hurt and Jinx escapes and finds her way to the firelight base.
There she sets the deal that she will give them the hexstone and helps to fight Silco as long as the Firelights help her free Vi and let her live free after that. Ekko, who has seen Jinx's shocked face when he told her the news and who knows how much Powder or now Jinx clings to her sister, agrees.
Also Jinx collapses from blood lost and gets treated by the Firelights (though they are not really happy with the outcome but their leader “trusts” her so they obey).
Ekko then meets up with the enforcer girl who he knows is investigating the Jinx case and she agrees to help them free Vi in exchange for the hexstone. Caitlyn, Jinx and Ekko free Vi and bring her to the Firelights base where Jinx disappears for half a day.
This makes the firelights really nervous since they assume she has gone back to Silco and is not going to pay her part of the deal (except Ekko, who had a heart-to-heart with Jinx while they were helping Vi. Jinx also told him why she made the decision to believe him and he really wants to be able to trust her) and look at that Jinx does come back with the hexstone which she now gives to caitlyn.
They decide that Jinx and caitlyn should give the stone back together as an offering of peace from Zaun and all 4 of them (Jinx, Caitlyn, Vi and Ekko) head to the bridge.
Here they first get confronted with Marcus who, upon hearing that Jinx changed sides and wants to make peace, decides that he too considers peace over his reputation and plans on letting them through. But oh-oh a bomb explodes killing Marcus and the other enforcers!
It’s Silco who is now standing in their way, extremly pissed. Jinx gives the stone to Vi and tells her that she has a plan and for it to work she needs Vi to go with caitlyn instead of her. She then encourages/ tries to get Ekko to go with them but he refuses, saying that he will fight alongside her no matter what (her heart flutters). They fight Silcos minions until Vi and Caitlyn are far enough away (or rather until enough time passes that they would be far away).
Suddenly Jinx pushes the guy she's currently fighting with away and launches herself at Silco tossing both of them in the water, but instead of swimming back up Jinx pushes Silco deeper and deeper into the water, even when her oxygen too is running low she holds him in place until he finally goes limp (unaware of what to come he didn’t had the chance to catch his breath before they both hit the surface, which is why he probably would be out of breath and dying first.
Although she did plan to drown herself with Silco she makes the decision that maybe she might have the chance of a happy life after all and goes for the surface but she is too deep under and doesn't make it before her oxygen runs out too, she sees a dark silhouette before going unconscious.
Ekko who sees Jinx throwing herself and Silco in the River gets nervous when he notices that she is not coming up again so he dives after her only to pull a barely conscious Jinx out of the water.
He brings her back home and she wakes up everybody is grateful to her for killing Silco and and giving Zaun it’s independence (upon getting the hexstone back the council finally notices that they really pushed Zaun to far and this could have ended in an even worse catastrophe and they decide to give Zaun it’sindependence)
Ekko and Jinx get together (Jinx gets therapy) and they live happily ever after.
No I defenitely didn’t wrote this whole thing just to have an execuse for Jinx to drown Silco, what are you even thinking...
I think this wouldn’t be as much out of character for jinx as it seems, she clings too Vi a lot and I can see her following Vi if Caitlyn wouldn’t have been there to (in her eyes) steal her Vi from her. But this time around Caitlyn enters the fray more or less with Jinx, Jinx has a chance to get to know Cait before she labels her as a sister stealing We*** also this time around she kinda has Ekko too.
Also she begins to understand that what Silco told about that she only can trust him was totally a lie and that Ekko wouldn’t let her down, I’m also assuming that he tried to reason with her multipile times during the timeskip but she just wouldn’t listen, thinking that he would betray her like Vi apperantly did, but now she knows they both care about her and she isn’t so afraid about losing Vi to Caitlyn anymore
