A piece I submitted for a fan art contest some time ago.

I am so tired of the 'Sasuke and Naruto are brothers or friends' debate.

SJ - We need to make more money so expand the franchise and make Sasuke and Naruto have kids.

Kishi - I don't wanna.

SJ - You wanna keep on cashing cheques? Or do you want little Timmy to go hungry and Mary to lose her house and Herbert to give up his therapy?

Kishi - .......

...........

Goes on a walk in the cold cold winter. Grumble grumble, kicking stones, punching trees, screaming into the void, making four or fifty SNS kissyface art in the snow with a stick he found on the road, weep and weep some more......

(Sighs)

SJ - Well?

Kishi - Fine but Sasuke and Naruto will look like shit, Sasuke will not stay in Konoha, he will avoid Sakura like the plague and Naruto won't stay the same fun, spirited boy full of beautiful blond hair that you know and love and he won't sleep with his wife. Sakura will be a virgin and Hinata will be the same dumb, forever useless, an inadequate housewife and mother, and neither of them will have any significant contribution to the narrative. I reserve my right to make fun of them at every opportunity and I will not draw or write the series personally.

Because it’s now or never

Because we have a priestess, a best man and a maid of honor available

Because in the end it’s what every SasuNaruSasu fan wants

But what of the man?

I know his name was Guy Fawkes and I know, in 1605, he attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. But who was he really? What was he like?

We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed first hand the power of ideas, I've seen people kill in the name of them, and die defending them...
