I normally have sympathy for women who are married to gay men. But I don't feel sorry for Sakura and Hinata.
Sakura is presented as someone who just won't give up until Sasuke agrees to be with her. Him being deadbeat is perfectly understandable. And I don't believe Salad was conceived the usual way because the whole Gaiden (Salad's origin story) revolved around test tube babies and because Kishi implied twice that Sasuke never kissed her.
As for Hinata, Naruto has a lot of responsibilities placed on him as the hero and the Hokage candidate, and he's guilt tripped about Hinata plenty of times. While Hinata didn't do most of the guilt tripping, she's too self-centered to not somehow being able to get that Naruto is just not that into her. So I don't feel sorry for her either.
All these power fantasies about how Sakura and Hinata "get everything in the divorce" or "Sakura gets to beat Sasuke's ass" or "Hinata gets into feminism" are so damn corny like come on. Sakura and Hinata are not the characters y'all want them to be.
Someone send me a pretty pissed off PM quite some time ago because of my posts about Sasuke and then send me a post by some sn and her own message was basically "she is right, you are wrong, what do you have to say to this" and I kinda didn't want to entertain it much because I think it's rude to send what are basically asks when I have specifically CLOSED my asks because I already had so many. (It's one thing to send a quick message though which is fine)
If you agree with her, then go reblog her posts, no need to come to me. It's kinda similar with ss and nh, why can't they just reblog their own ship posts but have to come to me to convince me I'm wrong lol.
I don't wanna go back to read the message because I found the attitude of the sender off-putting, but from what I remember the post (they mentioned things that ns essayists get wrong, and I have no idea who they are talking about, not necessarily me, but regardless) was the usual "in japanese literature going on a quest is masculine, people finding you attractive doesn't make you feminine, masculine characters are admired for their looks too, japanese literature etc. etc." and like I'm pretty sure I have addressed those things couple times already.
It's not Sasuke being attractive, I am very aware attractiveness is an admired trait in general, even in hetero stories, even from "top" in BL stories. That's not what was being discussed. It is the way Sasuke's attractiveness is portrayed outside of the squeeling fangirls. Sasuke is portrayed as desirable, something to possess, sometimes even prey. It comes off not only as homoerotic but it's much more commonly how women are portrayed in media. But not just women, a good example is the movie Gohatto (Kishi's fave Takeshi Kitano played captain Hijikata in that movie btw) where a beautiful young man Kano Sozaburo's arrival distrupts the Shinsengumi, and the other men desire him, some want to dominate and own him. He's also a skilled fighter/swordsman and a bit sinister. But he's portrayed as an object of desire.
I simply find it interesting considering Kishi himself. As in why does he like writing these things. Anyway I once made a post about something that has to do with it also; [link]
Whether you like or hate Sasuke, if you genuinely think like this you have low IQ and worst values.
Brah his family and his people were genocided, do you think he cares about online fame. Be serious.

what do you think of this:
https://www.tumblr.com/sasuke-shway/781386103161782272/i-totally-get-shipping-naruto-and-sasuke-i-see?source=share
sometimes these types of sasuke fans make me feel guilty for shipping narusasu
I see you. But. The thing is, they acknowledge Naruto was also abused by the system, yet became part of it.
But so did Sasuke. Naruto 100% did not force him. So the two are honestly in the same boat.
Naruto didn't question Itachi trying to control Sasuke with Shisui's eye and was surprised when Itachi burned the genjutsu bird that was given to him and asked why he did it, like he really was okay with the possibility of Sasuke forcefully working with Konoha. It seems so out of character especially when he was okay with Sasuke leaving at the end but I still don't like it in context.
I think I talked about this before (I could remember wrong though) but yes, it's another of those "let's drop this subject so nothing stands in the way of Boruto" instances. I don't like it either.
Naruto thought Tobirama's Edo tensei jutsu was gross because it takes away person's free will, and he's the one who said "Sasuke is not your toy". It's pretty obvious Naruto would not be okay with Sasuke being a mindless puppet. Being like that would take away the things Naruto likes about Sasuke.

The Cat Returns (2002) dir. Hiroyuki Morita
No, I Won
sasuke: itachi you always poked my head telling me another time, another time, and now even when you're dead, you don't have any time for me
itachi: I always lied to you and poked your head in order to push you away. let me be honest this one time *does not poke sasuke's head but instead brings their foreheads together to close the distance and says he loves sasuke*
ss: don't you get it the poke is the ultimate expression of love!!!
Women are again yelling that misogyny makes male characters gay on twitter and getting mad when people argue otherwise.
They also argue "Sasuke does love Sakura, he said so many times, the romance is just badly written because Kishimoto is a misogynist" like did they even read the series
You know an account is going to have bad takes if they use sexy no jutsu Naruto as their profile pic

There is a lot of fighting over the whole "if you ship only m/m ships you are a misogynist" and "shipping m/f and f/f is centering women" and what not.
The other day I felt like watching video essays and you could see from this one girl's channel that she liked mostly m/m ships. BUT she also had a long video explaining why ichiruki is a good ship and what makes it special and why many women like it. And her two most recent videos were finally about some f/f ship she found that she really liked.
It just shows to me that m/m dynamics just tend to be more appealing for certain women for whatever reasons, but when they find that hetgem or yurigem they enjoy it immensely as well. Regardless, the fact people think you can only enjoy female characters via romance is really stupid to me. I have plenty of female characters that are my faves in their respective series who I don't actively ship with anyone.
