holy fuck i may just be late to the party here but when raglan james said "you fear armand, you should fear the other one." to daniel, i had been interpreting that as a qotd akasha-style "louis is more volatile than he seems and his peaceful exterior only makes him more dangerous" kind of comment, which very much still could be the case, but it somehow did not occur to me that he may be hinting at daniel and armand's past relationship, since the talamasca definitely knows about it. it is very possible that, though a combination of keeping tabs on armand in the 70s and 80s and rashid's present-day observations of his behavior, raglan (correctly) determines that armand is less likely than louis to harm daniel specifically, and does not necessarily believe that armand less dangerous than louis in general.
