“Mm. Looks as though you aren’t giving the rest of these people much choice.”
The Mad Titan was one of the later citizens to be addressed by the robotic girl. He hadn’t moved an inch from his location on the beach, not even once since he first arrived in this city. To him, there had been no reason to interact with this city’s populace or seek out anything of meaning. After all, his reward already lay before him. He did not want nor need anything from this world. All he needed was time to prepare himself. Which, admittedly, was the most frustrating part of it all.
A part of him saw this as a rare opportunity, however. If he chose to do nothing in the face of this girl’s demands. Or rather, the demands of those she served, then perhaps.. Ah, but what was it that made him stand? A rare, brief moment of pity? Maybe he wished to humor that small part of him that wanted to do at least one thing of meaning before the end. And if that was the case.
“Very well. I’ll play your little game, girl. It won’t change my fate regardless. So? Who is it I’m supposed to be aiding?”
It did not matter who it was, in the end. If anyone needed his aid, he’d offer it without question. This was, after all, just a side activity to humor his own desire to help someone for a change, rather than hurt. It would make for an amusing story to tell her when they finally reunited.

「You’re starting to wonder if the BROODING MAN SILHOUETTE is some sort of contagious illness. Every time you’ve come to enjoy the beach, this guy has been here, just staring out toward the horizon over the ocean. As much as you can’t blame him, it’s actually a little sad. Even you have friends to talk to.」
「Well. A friend. Kind of. It’s complicated.」
「Either way, you’re close enough to hear this, so you might as well answer the poor bastard.」

“Hi, Mr. Thanos! Out here at the beach again, huh? Or… You
didn’t move, actually!”
Yes, Monika had known that he hadn’t moved an inch at all. She decided to come down here to see if he was around, since she didn’t really know anyone else to team up with and she hadn’t seen Sayori among the masses, nor did she even know where she lived. Goodness, it was like elementary school all over again!
A part of her didn’t really want to follow the instructions along, since she wanted to see if they would actually keep their promise of killing them, but Monika figured that it was best to just get this thing over with. In her hand was the beacon, since she managed to get one from the robot girl in the big crowd of confused and scared people.
She glanced over at The Condesce with a smile and a wave of her hand - clearly, nothing scared this high school student.
“I think teaming up for now wouldn’t be such a bad idea! We
all don’t have partners, right? It would be much safer for us…
if they keep their promise of killing us if we don’t cooperate!”
Chipper as usual, despite their impending doom if they don’t do what was said. Monika turned towards their last team member with a smile on her face.
“What do you think? Want to come along with us?”

The response was dumb, but more out of disbelief at the audacity this young human had than anything else.
Yggdrasil hadn’t cared much for where he had ended up. He hadn’t given much of a passing thought to the threat the doll had given. If she wanted to try to kill him for not partaking in this meaningless game everyone was playing, he welcomed her to try.
What he cared about was going home. What he cared about was returning to his quest to revive his sister. It was making sure the worlds didn’t collapse from incompetence in his absence.
He didn’t have time to be fooling around with human children.
At least, that was what he thought before green eyes drifted up to the other two the girl was beckoning. They weren’t human. One looked old and tired, the other sounded quirky but knowledgeable. They both looked like they weren’t strangers to wielding power.
Perhaps, in the interest of gaining allies on this island, he could spare a few hours.
“Very well. Our objective is simply to form a team and plant ‘beacons,’ correct?” he looked over his teammates. They all seemed pretty un-enthused about this task. His gaze finally landed on the Condesce.
“I admit, I am unsure what offers you expect. I have no fear of the threats, but I am curious who this ‘team’ might comprise of.” There was another sweeping glance as he addressed everyone once more, “You may call me Yggdrasil.”
