As the day went on, the contacts list in her phone grew longer. She kept waiting to see if a few specific people popped up, but for the most part, it was a bunch of names she had no hope of recognizing. It was demoralizing, that was for sure.
But at some point, in the middle of a few other names she didnât recognize (who the heck is Envy?) and almost causing her to miss it, Lloyd Irving popped up. She remembered Lloyd, of course she did. She felt an emotion she couldnât name well up in her, but it was almost certainly a good one.
She tapped on his name, ready to send a message. But... what if it wasnât him? What if this was a different Lloyd Irving? She closed the messenger on her phone, but she still held the device in her hands. If it wasnât the same him, best not to message him.
...And even if it was, best let him get to his house first. He only just popped up on the list. Memo resigned herself to waiting, because surely she wasnât first in his thoughts anyway.
But after maybe ten minutes, the amount of time she recalled it taking her to get to her house, she was still hesitant to text him. However, she had a better idea. She could reach out to him telepathicallyâassuming heâs here. It doesnât matter where he is.
Memo did just that, searching for Lloydâs mind with her psychic ability. All she had to do is know who she was trying to contact. And then she felt it, a certain familiarity from a distance away. This was him. She spoke to him, a little louder than intentional, though anything is bound to sound loud when itâs coming from inside your own mind.
âLloyd? This is you, right? The boy with the swords?â
