albedo hardly ever registered that it was cold outside when this season rolled around again, perhaps to the shock of those around him. most of the time he had no issue wearing his usual attire, no extra layers needed — but he might need to start wearing more he thinks, to keep people around him from fretting so.

he certainly can’t tell her he simply doesn’t get cold if he wishes to avoid suspicion or further fussing, gingerly taking the coat to let it drape over his shoulders for now.

“quite honestly i hadn’t realized it had gotten so cold, perhaps i was too focused on what i was doing.” he’s quick to come up with an explanation now, smiling faintly at jeanne.

“while much of the food here tastes amazing, stalls like these always pile the portions so high that you would feel stuffed after just one meal unless you shared it with others. i was never a fan of that when visiting festivals and food stalls personally…”

Some Servants may not have any memory of him or their time together, it doesn’t stop him from attempting to befriend them anew though. Jeanne is one such Servant. It only feels like a short time between a shared feast with everyone to now, surrounded by strange faces, even if it has been a while since the Moon Cell. He doesn’t mention it because he knows better. There’s only a slim chance those familiar are from the same time. In spite of that, Charlemagne is still pleased to see the Ruler.

Dear reader, If I had a label on me, it would have to be a brand that read, Stay away. I’m not Perfect. I’ve always been a good kid but not out of utter fidelity to the cause, merely because whilst others rebelled, I restrained. Recalcitrance is oftentimes a recurrent motif in teenage life especially at the nascence of puberty. I, however, lagged in adolescence so much so that when it arrived…

     The anger of this forced summoning has... partially subsided, to put it lightly. A king of his stature, forced to walk the same earth and bear the same restrictions as any mongrel commoner... The only comfort he can somewhat accept is that many of the other unwilling “citizens” here carry these very same restrictions. All newcomers are brought down to the same level... a great equalizer of sorts. And yet, even this system is not perfect. Some of the people that live here have been granted bits of their old power over time... even fewer have returned to their former glory. In that sense, there are worthless commoners that can dwarf the king’s own presence.

     A mere pawn can topple the king with little effort in this rigged game. Gilgamesh can tell as much as he stares at the familiar Ruler. Just like Saber, nothing can hold her back... However—
