I think Pyro's character tag on AO3 is just 'John Allerdyce' because when a lot of old-school authors migrated to AO3 from LJ, it was mainly movieverse fic, so when AO3 amalgamated all the tags being used for what is effectively the same character (John Allerdyce, St John Allerdyce, Pyro etc) the one with the most entries became the main tag. Like you can still use the St John Allerdyce tag, but it will be filtered as John Allerdyce when you click on it.
Oh definitely, I did sort of note that. It was more of a ‘why are we still doing this?’ kind of question than anything. More of a silly gripe. I personally tend to put St John if it’s comicverse and just John if it’s not, to help confusion. Maybe one day it’ll shift over :p

In the X3-TLS novelisation, it’s mentioned that Bobby carries him back after he’s been knocked out at Alcatraz. So in my head he doesn’t join back up with the X-Men, but he does fight the mutant fight & ends up dying to sentinels in DOFP future setting, which is why we see his lighter on the mutant memorial in the rogue cut. Sad but probably the actual events.
To me, the Pyro in DPW is a very similar, but not the same one.

I get WHY, because its all foxverse fics who (mostly) likely haven't read a comic with him in, I worded this pretty badly tbh. I more meant why haven't we changed this?

I'm going to start posting my comic Hot for Scott, the story is heavily inspired by this amazing fic so go read it!
