âtraditionalâŚâ he repeated the word, mulling over it as though he couldnât really get it to ring true in his mind. him picking something traditional for brownie points? âsounds fake, but okay.â well it was probably true if woosung said it was, but it was more fun to deny it. beside, heâ was pretty much right in that woojin had picked a recipe at random because âthis looks fun, letâs do thisâ and because he didnât have the attention span to actually read more into it.
sulking, he let his brother take care of the cooking for the time being while sitting down at a nearby table to fold boxes. there was already about 20 boxes spread out over the table, most made by woosung as woojin had lost interest after the first five and was generally slower at making them.
he looked over the glittery colourful paper, the gadgets and accessories and for a brief moment the brilliant thought of super gluing goggly eyes to his eyelids entered his mind. but just as he had pressed the glue out on the backside of the plastic, a stern glance was shot in his direction. there was that darned woosung and his sixth sense again.
fortunately it seemed like woosung had great news this time and woojinâs face lit up like a christmas light. âreally? like promise? like no take-backs?!â he beamed, already imagining the fantastic creation he was going to make from here on out. a hum left him as he was about to return to the box making, only to notice the mistake he had made. âuh-ohâŚâ he said warily, looking down at the goggle eye that was now stuck on the tip of his index finger.
Sighing, Woosung turned back to the cookies, already resigning himself to the fact that he was the one who was gonna end up putting in all of the work and only getting some of the credit, as per usual. A side-eye towards his brother to make sure the younger boy wasnât doing anything too stupid was followed up with a snort as his suspicions were all but confirmed as the other hurriedly tried to act like he wasnât up to no good.
He loved Woojin, with all his heart. But his brother would try the patience of God himself, Woosung was convinced of this. At this stage, Woosung took full responsibility for not talking Woojin out of this. He could have put his foot down and made Woojin change the plan, as bratty as he was, his brother usually did acquiesce to Woosungâs whims eventually. So really, itâs Woosungâs fault he was in the situation he found himself in.
Though when it came to this particular situation, he was blaming Woojin completely.
When his brotherâs babbling had been interrupted by a foreboding (and unfortunately, familiar) sounding âuh-ohâ, Woosung felt his blood run cold and every organ in his body seize up in warning. Counting to five to give himself time to collect himself and try to stay clam, Woosung turned toward Woojin, dread on his face.
And let out a familiar battle cry as he beheld his brotherâs latest catastrophe.
âHAN WOOJIIIIIIIN!!!â
Practically flinging aside his utensils, Woosung marched over to his brother and hauled him bodily over to the sink, ignoring Woojinâs protests and attempts to get free. Pumping an inordinate amount of soap onto the youngerâs entire hand, Woosung shoved it under the warm water, scrubbing as hard as he could without actually hurting Woojin in order to get the glued-on eye off his brotherâs finger. Luckily for them both, heâd reacted before the glue had had a chance to fully set and the eye fell into the sink after a few seconds. The glue residue was another issue, but as far as Woosung was concerned, that was Woojinâs problem now. Groaning, he ran a hand though his hair, glowering at Woojin with a expression that was both frustrated and exasperated.
âJust--. Just sit down quietly Woojin, okay? Iâll do everything, just donât touch anything else! Look up cute messages we can include or something. Iâm begging you, behave yourself!â
