quick move!    ..   episode eighteen w. woojin

►     ––––       .  .  .      the fact that he’s been allowed to renew his show for another trimester even in spite of the fact that he’s on future dreams is surprising to subin.  he’s a little afraid to figure out what the new twist of the season is, and since this is the first episode, it’s all bound to be revealed soon.  he throws a look at his cousin, frowning a little now that he’s finally allowed him to be part of the show  -  what if it’s something that’s dangerous? the twist last trimester would have probably ended up with woojin falling on his face and breaking his nose.

aside from all the quips and the lack of trust that woojin wouldn’t spread some ridiculous story about him as a kid, subin finds that he’s worried about his younger cousin regardless.  he heaves a long suffering sigh, keeping his eyes on woojin but still reamining in the frame of the camera. “ so it’s time … are you ready to figure out the twist of the season?” he finally asks him, tilting his head with a small grin.  subin is always nothing but professional for the cameras even if he doesn’t feel it.

after watching his cousin’s show in television multiple times woojin had always thought himself the perfect addition to it. granted he had enough confidence to think he would fit into pretty much any scenario, but that was beside the point, and the fact that he would get to spend as much time with subin as he wanted for the entire duration of the filming? now that was a definite bonus! subin could be a little scary sometimes, but he was a kind person and fun to be around all the same, and it was kind of cool seeing him at work like this. even more so getting to compete with him like this.

the live q&a session was already coming to a close soon, much to woojin’s dismay, but not before the last question had been asked, sending the boy’s mind into serious thought. he had always had a hard time doing stuff like ‘relaxing and destressing’ mostly because of the fact that he needed to keep himself active to cope with his mind running wild. certainly his medicine took some of the worst impulsive decisions and made him calm down a bit, but even so he was the kind of person to run at a hundred kilometres per hour and only stop when he was so tired that he crashed.

if he had to be completely honest he couldn’t remember doing stuff to ‘relax’.

becoming a bit uncomfortable at this notion, he stuttered slightly upon speaking next. “w-well! i kind of like buying stuff? or just window shopping? going into clothes stores to try on outfits but not buy them is really fun too! you get to see all kinds of styles on you but they can’t force you to buy anything so it’s like a free sampler! i like to pretend i’m a proper model and do a small show and take pictures and stuff in the fitting room!”

When it came to his little brother, Woosung had a sixth sense for when the other was about to commence mischief. And of course today was no different. Leveling another pointed stare at Woojin as he shoved the chocolate he’d been planned to mix into the batter into his mouth, Woosung sighed loudly and deliberately. 

“What happened to making traditional Korean cookies, huh? Y’know, the ones you decided would be a good idea and would win us brownie points. Or did you just pick something at random without even looking at the recipe?” he asked rhetorically, already knowing what the answer would be. After all, research had never been one of Woojin’s strong points. Reading anything that wasn’t an article about girl groups wasn’t one of his strong points, come to that.

As Woojin started ranting on about sprinkles and grabbing the container, Woosung ran a hand down his face in frustration. Of all the times for his brother to start clowning around, this was not one of them. Especially not with hot oil right beside them for cooking.

“YAH! Since when were sprinkles traditional in maejakgwa?! It’s pine nuts that go on top!” Although he’d never admit it out loud, however, Woosung privately agreed with sprinkles being the nicer option. Making to snatch the sprinkles out of Woojin’s hand before he sent them flying everywhere, Woosung attempted to compromise.

“Ok, ok, listen, Woojinnie. If you help me to make this batch for the festival according to the recipe, you can do whatever you want with the leftover batter, alright? Add whatever to it and all that. Just work with me here, kiddo. The fan gift is gonna be my only saving grace.” The last line delivered with a definite whine to his voice, Woosung already dreading having to actually participate in the sporting part of ISAC.

“traditional...” he repeated the word, mulling over it as though he couldn’t really get it to ring true in his mind. him picking something traditional for brownie points? “sounds fake, but okay.” well it was probably true if woosung said it was, but it was more fun to deny it. beside, he was pretty much right in that woojin had picked a recipe at random because ‘this looks fun, let’s do this’ and because he didn’t have the attention span to actually read more into it.

sulking, he let his brother take care of the cooking for the time being while sitting down at a nearby table to fold boxes. there was already about 20 boxes spread out over the table, most made by woosung as woojin had lost interest after the first five and was generally slower at making them.

he looked over the glittery colourful paper, the gadgets and accessories and for a brief moment the brilliant thought of super gluing goggly eyes to his eyelids entered his mind. but just as he had pressed the glue out on the backside of the plastic, a stern glance was shot in his direction. there was that darned woosung and his sixth sense again.

“about that...” he began hesitantly, weighing his options in this matter. his brother he didn’t mind making a fool off, but subin could be pretty scary when he was upset. granted, woosung could as well, but somehow that didn’t matter as much because woojin could just bat his eyelashes endearingly and get away with anything he wanted to get away with. that was how it worked, wasn’t it? definitely.

but no, he would play nice. for now. maybe. “yes, both subinnie hyung and woosungie hyung are here too! when i made it in as well i practically screamed!! like i’d totally have picked any company wanting to sign me, but it’s kinda nice to know you won’t end up becoming a rival to your own family if you get what i mean? but wait, we’re already rivals now, aren’t we?! oh my god, what should i do about that?!”

thoughts already trailing off, the staff behind the camera had to remind him to get back on track. woojin seemed a bit bashful for a change as he was trying his best to not say whatever fell into his mind at the moment.

“hmm a story though, hmmmmmm......” for a second he scratched his chin in thought until it was as though lightning had struck him and he yelled out “i got it!” his face evidently lit up. “i remember back when i decided i wanted to become an idol! like i’d always known that i wanted to be something cool when i grew up, but my brother started talking about stuff like this so i kinda wanted to do it too! i used to dance around all the time and sing for the two of them! they always told me i sucked though... especially woosung hyung.” a pout followed.

at getting complimented, woojin sent off a big shameless kiss towards the camera. “thank you, thank you!” he beamed, swaying back and forth in his chair in excitement. so people had started to notice him for his dance, hm? well deserved! talent should be appreciated and acknowledged where it existed!

as for the question, it was one easily answered. “if you’ve seen me around on yout--” almost catching himself casually saying a brand out loud, he stopped and corrected himself mid-sentence with a cough. “on social media this one is easy to guess! i used to have a channel online where i covered and taught girl group dances and even though i can’t dance as many of those anymore because of the concepts we have to practice as guys, i still love them with all my heart!”

for as long back as he could remember it had been like that. even his hobby of doing gymnastics was because he admired the graceful moves, and sometimes he even wondered if it had been better had he been born a girl. but there was no use in crying over what could have been, he just had to make do with what was. “if i have to pick a favourite cover i’ve done it’s probably... exid’s hot pink! yeah! that one is so fun to dance!!” with big arm movements he praised his seniors in the entertainment industry and even quickly imitated the iconic chorus movement.

“Ok, so we’ve got the flour, ginger, sugar… Han Woojin! Put that back!”

A death glare is shot at his younger brother as Woosung raises the mixing spoon threateningly. In all honesty, they really would have been better off buying cookies for their sports festival fan project, but Woojin had gotten it into his head that he wanted to make both the cookies and the containers from scratch and of course, Woosung had found himself roped into going along with his little brother’s whims.

That said, he has to admit he doesn’t really trust anyone else when it came to supervising Woojin in the kitchen. At least Woosung has a sixth sense when it came to the younger’s mischief, so he’s always forewarned, in a way.

“Did you even read the recipe? There’s no chocolate in it, idiot! Put it down and either start helping me with this stuff or start putting the boxes together!” Sure, Woosung knows he sounds kind of (very) bossy, but he’s long since learned that he needs to be if he wants Woojin to focus and listen.

clicking his tongue, woojin put the spoon that contained the pastry batter back down into the bowl. how on earth had woosung noticed him when he was being so covert about it? granted, covert wasn’t really a word that existed in the younger’s dictionary, but the point still stood. a whine followed by as his older brother continued to nitpick about minor details in the recipe.

“now you’re just being stingy hyung~!” he complained back, tossing the piece of chocolate he was about to put into the batter into his own mouth. “i mean it’s soooo good after all? wouldn’t it be better to put it in? chocolate makes everything better after all!”

“your heart?” woojin suggested playfully immediately after reading the question out loud? for a moment he managed to hold a straight face, but it didn’t take long until he curled up his fingers and screeched at how cringe the comment was. god, how did people do stuff like this without losing their mind? he definitely had a lot to learn. “sorry about that,” he apologised with a laugh.

for a moment he fell into genuine thought over the question because woojin was a boy who liked to buy things on impulse and he appreciated most of the things he bought equally because they were important to him, so it was hard to find one thing that stood out. “if i have to pick something, hmm...” he commented, words trailing off. then as if struck by lightning he thought of something.

to say he was excited about this vlive session was an understatement. he had been showing publicly before, but never had a chance to directly interact with the people who supported him, and that thought was absolutely amazing. he always believed that he had people who were interested enough in him to be called ‘fans’, but actually getting it confirmed was another thing.

basically, woojin was practically bouncing in his chair when the live started and the camera focused on him. even more so when he was presented with the first question.

“oh man!” he yelped enthusiastically. “i loooooooove exid! they’re my favourite group like ever and i always get so excited seeing anything from them! jeonghwa sunbaenim has always been my inspiration and i think she’s so beautiful when dancing!” if there was one thing woojin loved, it was talking about the people he admired. he felt as though there was no stopping him again once he started but there should be enough time to ramble a bit. 

“twice is another one of my favourite groups, and probably the ones that are currently up i like the best!” perhaps it wasn’t a good thing for a trainee like him to talk so admiringly about rivalling artists but that thought didn’t even pass through his mind. instead he continued his gushing. “momo is an actual queen. i would kill to dance like her! well, not literally of course...”

hello one, hello all! this is shino here again with their lgcsecond (you might know me from lgclukas already) i meant to write this intro straight after getting accepted but accidentally fell asleep while waiting...

anyhow! here is woojin, and if you were in rk you might recognise him as rkdaehwi, he’s just undergone another fc change so i didn’t have to age down! which leads us to introducing him! han woojin, younger brother of @lgcwoosung​, ‘03 liner (just had his birthday) and always running at 100% energy he doesn’t have an off button. 

we need some plots going on so please like this post for me to pop into your ims for plotting! what we’re looking for is:
