Ok I’m gonna need people to start understanding the difference between wield and yield REAL QUICK because if I have to hear one more person say yield when they DEFINITELY mean wield, I am going to scream. 😫
sometimes i blog so badly but then a mutual likes my post and it's like summer in my mouth
NEW STORY ALERT: THIS IS WHERE WE BEGIN
READ HERE
Uh…hi. Yeah I’ve started to post This is Where We Begin. I literally couldn’t wait to share this story. I’ve been buzzing about it nonstop and probably annoying the absolute fuck out of my beta and bestie @andromedaskies
So yes. Hi. Surprise. ITS HERE.
Expect updates weekly for the time being. This may vary so please be gentle.
I love you all so much. Truly so so much. Enjoy this my loves. It means the world to me. Hope you love Jamie as much as I’ve loved him.
—
SUMMARY:
Henry Fox came to New York for a fresh start— a new city, a new chapter, and his five-year-old son Jamie’s hand in his. Falling in love wasn’t part of the plan. Especially when it didn’t work out the first time by any means.
Jamie had been obsessed with Alex Claremont-Diaz since the first night in New York when he was introduced to American football. Leave it to Pez to get them on the field to meet him.
What Henry doesn’t expect is the way Alex looks at both of them— like they’re something worth keeping.

Here's a LOTR question for you. I've only ever read The Hobbit, and I remember it not being the easiest book for me to read(like I understood it, I just had to concentrate me than I usually would), should I read LOTR?
I've also only seen one of the movies(I can't remember which one, one of my oldest friends love the movies and I remember watching one with her), should I just watch those, if the books are beyond my reading comprehension?
I figured you'd be the person to ask :)
Hello my lovely friend!! 💕💕
Oooh yes, you have come to the right place! 😁
Ok so, I should start by saying that I have a deep love and appreciation for the LOTR books. It’s such a compelling world that Tolkien created and there’s so much depth and history to delve into with each character and in every setting.
That being said, if you found The Hobbit challenging to read, I would not recommend trying to get through LOTR because they are MASSIVE and there’s a TON of descriptive language and it can be a SLOG to get through if you’re not super invested in the smallest of details. I’ve only managed to read the full trilogy once in high school (which is when the movies were coming out), then started again in my 20’s but got bogged down in the middle of The Two Towers and just never finished.
Now as for the movies, I absolutely cannot recommend them ENOUGH! They are (as a full unit) basically tied with Titanic as my top favorite of all time. If you want to get technical, a lot of people say it’s not the best adaptation because (much like RWRB) there are several characters omitted and certain characters have their purposes changed or plot points shift and whatnot. But if you’re talking strictly about capturing the magic of the world of Middle Earth and the main themes of friendship, hope, and love, then it’s about as great as it gets. There’s a reason Return of the King is still the record holder for winning the most Oscars, because it’s truly an extraordinary piece of cinematic history.
So I would say most likely skip the books unless you truly want to challenge yourself, yes absolutely watch the movies, and then come yap at me when you finish them because I will never shut up about how much I love them and how much they have impacted me over the years. 💖

no offence but i think a lot of us me included don’t actually want romantic love as badly as we think and really are just lonely and crave a closeness and intimacy that feels out of reach in friendships because of society’s emphasis on marriage and the nuclear family so we project that into the never ending search for a perfect love and a soulmate when really we all just want to mean something to someone
these pictures of nick as henry scratch my brain so good. he just is henry. and i love the little detail of how the book he's reading is clearly either a second or first edition because he's a prince.
