So. We have a bit of an unusual problem. The Gloink Queen lives in a bioactive enclosure with isopods. I fed her isopods some corn as I try to give them variety in their diet.

Unfortunately, at some point The Gloink Queen set her egg ball down, saw a corn kernal, and in her teenie tiny mustard seed brain she decided this was not a corn. This was the ultimate egg ball.

I have tried to help her, this poor creature who pranked herself. However, every attempt to try to remove the corn, or hold it and chase her away from it to try to get her to take her actual egg ball?

Results in her entering a fight to the death with me to protect her corn kernal baby. I don't know what to do. She has done the equivalent of taking her child to the clothing store, then sprinted out with a well dressed child mannequin, then gotten into a hostage situation WITH THE POLICE while they try to retrieve the mannequin and reunite mother and child while she screamed, "I DON'T KNOW WHO THAT IS! THIS IS MY BABY! LEAVE US ALONE YOU MONSTER!"

She refuses any intervention and squares up with me if she thinks I will take her children of the corn. I'm hoping she figures it out.

I hope I'm online when it happens. I want to see a sudden flood of crab rave memes right after refreshing my dash, and in the middle of it all, the Castiel news meme. That's how I want to learn of it; not through anything solemn or serious, but via overwhelming silly celebration.

More medical??? stuff but good this time

I ended up having to go to the hospital last night because the sleeping pills weren't working and I just absolutely could not take the elevated anxiety and tiredness any longer. They gave me ativan and after about an hour at home, I finally slept!

I slept for like 9-ish hours. I feel so much better. Like I have some amount of energy besides absolute 0, it's great.

Just hoping I can keep it up and this won't be an ongoing issue.

The black gray side is female!

What I can tell you beyond these test results, is that this beautiful creature successfully bred four solid patterned ewes this winter that produced a total of 9 lambs, of which all were either solid pattern or mouflon pattern; 5 rams and 4 ewes. "

Medical??? Stuff under the cut

Having a Weird One, ladies gentlemen and others. The last time I slept was poorly on Friday night, and neither over-the-counter sleep aids nor prescription drugs are helping. I am neither physically nor mentally functional at all, and had to take a leave from work. I wouldn't even trust me to drive anymore. Kind of feels like I'm floating but also wrapped in cotton right now. I don't think I've started hallucinating yet, but I did see something weird out of the corner of my eyes last night, so there's that.

On top of it all, as you may imagine, my several mental illnesses have seen this as the perfect time to start flipping out. My anxiety is through the roof, and most of it is about sleeping (or dying from a rare form of incurable insomnia, so that's fun) so that makes the sleeping even harder. If tonight's ambien doesn't work, my doctor has told me to go to the ER. (Which will have to wait until tomorrow, because someone else has to drive me.)

I clumsily explained the feeling to my sister as "trying to hold something under water but it keeps floating". It's like trying to drown a piece of cork. Whenever my brain starts to go into sleep mode, actually no it doesn't. I either jerk awake or just become aware that I'm falling asleep and that undoes everything. Some of these pills are making my body sleepier, but nothing is affecting my brain, which is what I need it to do.

I do have these half-formed weird memories of things that can't possibly be true, so I do think I'm having little micro-dreams here and there. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Whatever I am super rambling at this point and I've had to correct so many typos.
