PeNn?

It's an old project of mine i thought I'd revamp this year, with these two being inspired by Alice from the Looking Glass story and Queen of Hearts from the original Adventures in Wonderland book! I'll write lore in a separate post :D

Disclaimer: this is me just vomiting out my ideas, i haven't made anything concrete or canon yet- so this post is prone to have future updates to it while i work on the story proper, hopefully the bare bones of it at least is good enough

In this universe I've created for the "Magical Heroes but make em Fairytale themed" Characters is set in the big city, what city exactly? Idk I'm not going the realistic route so this is set in a fictional world similar to ours, where some special people have been picked to be magical heroes by a alien race- okay now that just sounds like Madoka Magica but bear with me!

This alien race are at war with another who've been hopping planets to consume all life leaving only grey blobs across the galaxy in their wake, and not wanting to sacrifice anymore of their own these guys thought it'd be a great idea to use the current planet's inhabitants to essentially fight for them, giving humans a chunk of their power that they can wield using the power of their dreams and creativity - a deal with the fey so to speak. To humans these things that recruited them look like traditional fairies from folktales, and whatever power the heroes are given turns them into the fairytale that reflects them individually, though due to these fairies not understanding morality or really any human concept they just hire anyone they deem as worthy to wield such powers.

... And that unfortunately includes children in these life long contracts :'D

Though they're not entirely helpess, as the magical hero are also equipped with a guide alongside their weapon in the form of little magical companions! Weird little things that are small enough to be mistaken for a keychain or plushie, they cannot speak human languages but instead make their own noises, be it ticking clocks, royal horns, or even simple cheeky laughter, to anyone else these magical companions are just making nonsensical noises all with the exception of said magical companion's chosen user. Then it's like they have a telepathic bond or something.

As for the other end the alien race that sought to rid the planet of all life, basically sucking the literal creativity out of everything they touch, they are nothing more but empty husks to the mortal eye - desperate to fill themselves with life that they can't create on their own but only succeeding in making things as soulless as them, they're not the only ones at odds with these magical heroes because some are also working against one another. Being in life long contracts and all some have made defeating these monsters a competition, creating a illusory leaderboard to spice up their otherwise gruelling and often thankless job due to civilians not being able to see them once they're transformed, but because of this it also created rivalries and divisions, where one rarely work in a group unless they're trying to score higher.

I wanted to make this au a crossover with more args as the original story progresses! Because I love crossovers ofc and because sometimes it fits just too well :3

It all boils down to me drawing characters in pretty dresses somehow, sensing a pattern here 🤔
