and we only got the hate side of lesmand's love/hate relationship too. not only that, we only got lestat's hate for armand, none of armand's hatred for him. not only That, but what has show armand even done to make lestat hate him? he didn't drink from him nonconsensually, he didn't cut nicki's hands off, he didn't torture lestat, he didn't force him to participate in the trial, he didn't push lestat out of the window. turns out the reason "big boss" didnt actually call out armand for anything he did is that he never did anything to lestat. lestat just hated him for...being traumatised, i guess. and for this version of armand apparently the writers deem that enough.

sooo...the constant emasculation, sub-bottom-ification, and sa shaming of armand really was just there for people to laugh at huh. the first two things weren't addressed at all and the third one? the only way someone will tell him the abuse he suffered was a bad thing is under literal torture conditions.

i'm one of the people who absolutely think loumand's dynamic is unhealthy from both sides, but if the writer's wanted the "apology" scene to come off the way they meant it (which is apparently that louis really did owe him an apology) maybe they shouldn't have gone out their way to make armand actually abusive to louis...like they added that...in the book louis absolutely knew armand was responsible for claudia's death the whole time, armand didn't even have the power to remove memories, and their breakup is armand leaving louis because his depression bummed him out...like tony you chose
