Tomokazu Sugita - Gintoki (Gintama), Chuck Lee (Trigun Stampede), Higuruma (Jujutsu Kaisen) • this man's voice is the epitome of sexiness. he has such a deep bass to his voice that it melts my brain anytime i hear it, even if he has a goofy role like he does in tristamp. fun fact, he's in the otome game ikemen sengoku as oda nobunaga! definitely recommend checking that one out if you're a huge tomokazu fan like i am.
Rie Kugimiya - Kagura (Gintama), Alphonse (She's in both FMA 2003 and Brotherhood) • ahh yes, the queen of tsunderes. she can change her voice surprisingly well when it comes to alphonse, i barely caught it lmao. well.. until alphonse called ed a "baka aniki" (stupid brother). that was a dead giveaway, because kagura had said the same thing in gintama
Daisuke Sakaguchi - Shinpachi (Gintama), Leonardo Watch (Blood Blockade Battlefront), Yamazaki (Welcome to the NHK!) • this one is not hard to catch at all. since i had watched trigun and gungrave, i said "i should give blood blockade a try since its also by nightow!!" and BOY my jaw dropped when i heard leo speak for the first time. (THERE'S A LOT OF GINTAMA VA'S IN THIS ONE !!!!!!!)
Masaya Onosaka - Vash (Trigun 1998), Obi Hajime (Gintama) • once again, not hard to pick up. once the character he's voicing laughs or raises their voice, its a dead giveaway. i nearly freaked out when i heard him in gintama lmao. he's in one piece as well iirc! my mom had put it on the tv one time as background noise, and this dude with purple hair and a mask popped up and started talking and i can assure you i lost my shit lmfao
Yoshimasa Hosoya - Shin (Dorohedoro), Wolfwood (Trigun Stampede/Trigun Stargaze) • i caught this one right off the bat when i was first watching dorohedoro. i said "wolfwood?? is that wolfwood?????" and sure enough, when i looked it up it was him !! this is another one with good bass. love love love himmmm
Satsuki Yukino - Milly Thompson (Trigun 1998), Otae (Gintama), Kagome (Inuyasha), Yoruichi (Bleach) • she can really change her voice up, its super impressive !! i was absolutely stunned when i found out that milly and yoruichi had the same va !! one is so high pitched, and the other has a very distinct, low tone. she sounds the same with otae and kagome though, but she definitely pitches her voice higher when voicing kagome. they sound similar when kagome raises her voice
Akira Ishida - Katsura (Gintama), Gaara (Naruto), Femt (Blood Blockade Battlefront) • this one is kind of tricky, but once the character he's playing laughs its once again a dead giveaway. you can definitely tell its him with gaara, but i had some trouble picking him up with femt. he's in inuyasha as amari nobunaga, but he voiced the character when he was younger so it was pretty hard to tell
Koki Uchiyama - Yuri Plisetsky (Yuri on Ice), Akira (Devilman Crybaby), Inumaki (Jujutsu Kaisen), Rei (Buddy Daddies), Legato (Trigun Stampede/Stargaze) • i mistake this one for akira ishida a lot... they sound alike to me.
Takahito Koyasu - Takasugi (Gintama), Toji (Jujutsu Kaisen), Luke Valentine (Hellsing), Pesche (Bleach), Ochiai (Knights of Sidonia) • this is another one with a deep voice that you absolutely cannot miss. this guy has such great roles, i love him especially as takasugi and luke. hes in trigun 1998 too, but as nobody important :(
Kazuya Nakai - Hijikata (Gintama), Zoro (One piece), Jan Valentine (Hellsing), Mugen (Samurai Champloo), Ryuji (Blue Exorcist), Dolph (Space Dandy), Zapp (Blood Blockade Battlefront), Hakari (Jujutsu Kaisen) • this dude has such a good voice!!!! he's got that cool yakuza tone to him. i noticed he plays a lot of tough and short tempered characters. my favorite roles of his are zoro, hijikata, zapp and mugen :3
Shinichiro Miki - Sakamoto (Gintama), Kisuke (Bleach), Roy Mustang (FMA Brotherhood), Midvalley (Trigun Stargaze) • i LOVE this guy. especially as sakamoto, i literally cannot get enough of that laugh.
Keiji Fujiwara - Zenzou (Gintama), Maes Hughes (FMA 2003 and Brotherhood), Shiro (Blue Exorcist) • keiji had such a good rasp to his voice that is so noticable no matter how hard he changed his voice up for his character roles. loved his work in gintama. he unfortunately passed away in 2020 at age 55 due to cancer.
Sho Hayami - Wolfwood (Trigun 1998), Umibouzu (Gintama), Aizen (Bleach) • ANOTHER ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITESSSS. i miss this one a lot when i hear him though !!! sho is so funny as umibouzu dude
and last but not least, the LEGENDARY Fumihiko Tachiki - Hasegawa (Gintama), Kenpachi (Bleach) • i cannot stress enough that fumihiko is one of my favorite voice actors ever. (despite me only liking two of his roles </3) i haven't finished evengelion yet but he also plays gendo!! he's also in gungrave iirc
