yep, i only had some hope in him surviving bc clearing his name and proving he wasn’t a murderer, getting his diploma and graduating would make his story complete and make more sense. but okay, say, he HAS to die - couldn’t they make it more satisfying? better written? they literally turned him into a complete dumbass when instead of climbing up he FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON decided to fight demobats FOR NOTHING. THERE’S NOTHING HEROIC ABOUT IT. IT WAS PLAIN STUPID. and this is why i hate the way he died so much, it’s an insult to his character? eddie is better than that, he himself said there was no shame in running. he sacrificed himself for nothing, he’s still fucking mocked after his death and nobody but his uncle and dustin care about him. this is awful, just terribly wrong.
