We’ve got a languages trainee at work who I already hate because she’s crap and unprofessional and generally annoying and she’s ruined my y7 classes but apparently that wasn’t enough bc yesterday she reversed into my parked car, told me it was only some paint but it’s clearly broken, and she knocked the sensor so whenever I drive slowly it beeps incessantly lmao

Now I have to sort out the insurance claim and get it fixed and it’s all so much time and hassle but her van is a pile of shit so she won’t have to do anything and honestly I hope her no claims isn’t protected so it fucks her insurance cost for a few years because it’s what she deserves

Honestly yesterday the beeping had me close to tears it’s a sensory nightmare I hate her so much

In 13 years of teaching, no students have ever made me cry. Today I got pretty fucking close. I was doing a gcse french revision session (it’s not my degree it’s my secondary specialism and I’ve never really taught it past y9 but they were foundation there so the content was fine) but the kids have all been made to do French against their will so they’re really shitty about it and the behaviour was awful and it just felt like I was fighting for my life the whole time. They had a little lunch break then came back and I had to hold back tears because I just didn’t want to do it any more. The only other time I’ve felt like that was when I went back to work too quickly after my grandma died. I think we’ve pushed them too hard and they should be on study leave now but we keep dragging them through these long revision sessions and we’re all too tired. So my day was tutor, French, drama, double French revision, English revision because that exam is tomorrow, and then detention duty after school. I’m so fucking tired of this job wringing out every last scrap of energy I’ve got.

But tomorrow it’s just a bit of last minute pre exam revision then y11 are done with English, so I’m doing 2 cover lessons and having 2 frees and I’m going home early with Monday completely printed and planned ready to go so this weekend I won’t have to do a single bit of work and next week I’m part time again. We’ve got friends staying this weekend so we’ll be busy but it’ll be really nice.

Those kids haven’t fucking broken me, they haven’t won, I’ve got one more French revision session on Monday and I’m taking biscuits in as a shameless bribe but if they’re shit I’m kicking them straight out.

I’m joining the gym next week for my days off and I’m gonna go soooo hard, lose more weight for prom, feel really gorge and strong and ready to enjoy summer!!!!!!

#may fuckin slapped tbh so I feel ok about June (after this week)

Okay so I need to figure out a tonne of examining stuff and get my online standardisation done, and plan my lessons for tomorrow, and idk generally sort my shit out but this is my last week working full time - after this week I go back to 3 days a week. That means the other days max is still at nursery and I can cook, clean, mark exams, help my sister when she goes on maternity leave and stuff. And I’m gonna join the gym so I can go and work out when I’ve dropped max off. Today I wore trousers I haven’t worn in yeeeears and the scale isn’t where I want it to be but my shape is definitely changing thanks to the strength training :) so yeah this week is gonna be a lot but then it should be pretty chill til the end of term!!!

I’ve updated some of the framed photos around the house bc a couple of them had a friend in them who has never met max or even messaged me to ask how we’ve been in the 2+ years since he was born. It’s sad because we used to be really close and idk if she feels like I don’t make an effort or if there’s some kind of weird feelings about me having a kid but whatever man that’s not a friend any more

One of my friends had multiple rounds of ivf and miscarriages and she still checked in (she and her husband have adopted 2 girls now and it’s so fab) so as far as I can tell this person just decided she doesn’t want to bother with me any more and it makes me sad seeing her face around the house tbh so I’ve put up one of Ro and two of max (one with my mum and one with my dad)

We spent like 3 hours playing with one of Max’s friends (I’m also friends w her mum so it was nice for both of us) and I was so overstimulated when we left their house but then max didn’t nap so he’s overtired and he begged for his paddling pool so I inflated it and filled it up and he slid into it too fast and started sobbing so that lasted about 9 seconds and now I’ve given up and put cars on tv
