Mother, It’s been a long long time since I’ve written a letter to you.

I was on a business trip to Mindoir (It’s a human colony!!) as they had noticed us that they had the prothean resources documents.

As you know, that was my first time to contact human species.

Their faces are very similar with ours but there is a lot of hair on their head. Some of males have a hairy area on the lower part of their face! 

HOW INTERESTING!!! Ah, but I didn’t have any chances to make a conversation with one of the human scientists:(.

 Instead, I met a little red haired girl on the way hotel. She looks like 40-50 years old. She said that I was the first asari she’d ever met. So I told her that she was my first human species to have a talk. OH, By the goddess, I forgot to ask her name. Well, I just hope that I left a favorable ‘Asari’ impression on the girl. It’s time to go back to research.

Some of these ”unhealthy” ships I’m referring to are: Dramione, Snapemione, Tommione, Bellamione. 

First off, can we just agree that it’s possible to write any pairing as unhealthy including Romione and Harmiony just like it’s perfectly possible to write any pairing as fluffy? Sure, it might be OOC but considering how most fics are OOC any way I don’t see the problem. 

DRAMIONE: is considered unhealthy because Draco and Hermione are on different sides and Draco calls her a Mudblood. Sure, that’s canon. However why on earth could it not be possible to imagine a redemption arc for Draco which brings him closer to Hermione? Like how does that boggle the mind that much? Again, we’re talking fanon here not canon. 

SNAPEMIONE: It’s unhealthy because of the age difference and because Snape bullied her about her teeth. To the former, I say fair enough. To the latter: HAHAHAHA. Seriously, that’s not an insurmountable obstacle for this pairing as we know canon!Snape is unpleasant. To all Griffyndors. It’s nothing personal. So again, why is it so hard to accept that people consider an attraction between two highly intelligent wizards to be worthy of exploring. He’s too old? Make Snape survive the war and Hermione getting together with him when she’s all grown up. Imagination is the limit. 

TOMMIONE and BELLAMIONE: Different sides of the war, neither Bellatrix nor Voldemort like Muggleborns. Bellatrix tortured Hermione with the Cruciatus. Also adult/child relationship. Same logic applies here, really. Yes it’s going to be out of character to ship these characters. For all involved. But if fic writers want to explore Hermione’s dark side or fantasize about some dark character being redeemed by Hermione’s love or whatever, then what’s the problem? Of course no one is claiming that any of these ships had zero chance of happening in canon or that there is canon to support them. It’s just fans being fans and playing around with the characters, exploring what-ifs or dark relationship dynamics. Not everyone’s cup of tea but no need to gasp about it either. 

So really, I wish we could stop with the implications that some shippers are ”sick” for shipping two characters. It’s all fantasy, it’s all make belief. Most fics are written by young women or girls. These girls might very well fantasize about sleeping with a teacher who is much older and see writing Snapemione as a way of living these fantasies. Or they might think the idea of changing sides or making someone else change sides is enticing. Or they like bad boys like Draco. Again, all innocent fun. Sexuality is complicated and not everyone enjoys vanilla, Hufflepuff sex. Nor does everyone enjoy uncomplicated dynamics like the ones Hinny or Romione have.

I love that in the attempt of making Bellatrix seem less attractive, Helena Bonham Carter made her even MORE attractive. What makes this even better is that they had to tell Helena to TONE IT DOWN because she was being ‘a bit too sexy.’

To simplify: Helena Bonham Carter is responsible for creating our sexy psychotic witch that we all know and love today. I have no words to describe my appreciation.
