"gender? I don't even know her!" flavor nonbinary

I'm seeing an anti-TERF post gaining traction lately that includes the line "obviously trans women are not claiming to experience period cramps" so for anyone who needs to hear it: yes, HRT gives trans women periods. no, those do not include bleeding from their uterus (usually, with some intersex trans women being the exception), but your period is not controlled by your uterus. it's controlled by your hormones. take away the bleeding, what does that leave you with? nausea, vomiting, changes in mood, changes in appetite, cramps, increased tenderness of breasts, fatigue, the Period ShitsTM, etc. trans women can experience all those and more on HRT. just like cis women, some trans women will have bad periods, some will barely feel them, even not notice them at all. I was just shocked to see that circulate in a trans-positive post unchallenged.
