Finally figured out my human TFP Megatron design! I have been sitting on this doodle dump for an obscenely long time, some of these are almost a year old lol (for the love of god PLEASE click on the images, Tumblr nuked the quality like it’s never nuked the quality before, I promise they’re not actually that crunchy)

I’ve been thinking a lot about a mech pilot/Pacific Rim type AU specifically in regards to this guy. The pilots wear armor that is very similar to their mech’s appearance either for aesthetic reasons or possibly to help them connect to their mech better? Most pilots helmets have a full-face visor, but Megs decided to sacrifice some of his range of vision to give his face more stab protection hence why he only has a visor over his eyes. The pilots would also wear specialized flight suits underneath their armor. The armor also would likely have to be relatively lightweight, so there are gaps in some places, like on the stomach and upper arms.

The implant connects directly to the pilot’s spinal cord and allows them to hook into their mech. The spines on the implant can be varying sizes- Megs chose to get huge spines because he likes to look pointy lol. The spines can retract (colored ref on the left) but normally look more like the top middle. They can also fold inward to protect the gaps in the implant, because since the implant connects directly to the spinal cord, it would be very bad if someone was able to get a weapon in between the gaps. Control over the spines is largely instinctual, and most pilots have them in the folded-in defensive position by default. Usually the only time the spines aren’t in the defensive position is if the pilot is in their mech, around people they trust completely, or if they’re making a power play by showing off how little of a threat they think everyone else is (<- Megs. Sometimes. He’s not completely stupid)

Megatron also has tattoos that vaguely resemble the purple markings on his canon counterpart’s body. This is your warning that there are going to be partially naked man jumpscares at some point below the cut

Also I just generally adore the story. I've re-read it probably a couple dozen times and have been checking it regularly since there were like twelve chapters. I think you do a really good job of writing the characters and staying true to them and I will sob when Horror Show is done regardless of whether or not the ending is happy or sad. Keep doing what you do and may your pillow always be perfectly cool on both sides

I’d never actually considered this! I think there might be a little bit of the clinking sound of a fork in a blender, but mostly it would be some mixture of a chainsaw and an electric saw. When his throat mods are working at full power, they are LOUD.

Here is a video I found of a chainsaw that I think would most similarly resemble the sound he makes - specifically the part between attempting to start the chainsaw and before it starts to rev, kind of in that sweet spot where it has just started up and it making that clinking sound. It would be a bit like that, kind of deep and growly but also with a smidge of the whine of an electric saw especially when he’s eating metal.

Hmm, his subspace isn’t that big. In the show Miko seems to be able to fit comfortably in there (if subspace is what I think it is anyway lmao) so maybe a bit smaller than the interior of his alt mode where his seats are?

when ratchet and arcee were talking abt if they should reveal the thing with wheeljack to the others i was like.... my foreshadowing senses are tingling + was wondering if wheeljack was gonna have his true form appear to one of the others

the scene in the cave with wheeljack and smokescreen had me internally yelling (also SMOKEY IS GONNA BE SCARRED FOR LIFE)

I have drawn Mercy Kremzeek four times. I have never looked at a ref of them in my life. I really need to get around to that but I kind of just try to imbue them with bastard energy and hope it works lol

Wanted to see what Mercy Overlord looked like with a nose out of curiosity. The answer is as gorgeous as always

The next batch was actually made in the middle of multiple shifts working at a haunted house, so they are. VERY Grungy lol

Kaon got especially grungy, I had to tape the paper to a piece of wood and the lead went everywhere I’M SO SORRY KAON (half finished Nickel is there bc I was practicing her design somewhere else and then the Loyalty doodle took over half the page)

I have doodled so much Mercy stuff in class but haven’t had time to post it BUT NOW I’M FREE GO MY SCARABS

Shitty doodles I did on a train featuring Overlord, Sunder, and exasperated Trepan. I had no Wi-Fi so everyone was drawn either from memory or extremely blurry reference images lmao and somehow Overlord ended up looking dramatic as hell anyway

It’s mostly Helex LMFAO. This whole post is gonna be mostly Helex. I’m obsessed with her character design (including her HF design) but it’s SO DIFFICULT TO GET HER RIGHT so I’ve been practicing! Megs snuck in there too haha
