There's a contradiction in the One Piece Live Action behind the scenes process where everyone keeps saying their only source is the manga, but then the costumes, hair, and makup designers have anime pictures plastered all over the place in their offices and make-up trailers.
Take Tashigi, for example. Her hair is black in everything that's not the anime. There was never any hint of blue in Oda's colorings:
But OPLA clearly uses the anime as the main reference for her, as proven by this behind-the-scenes reference picture for her looks:
So we ended up with yet another bad wig, and another version of the "Asian girl with colorful hair" Hollywood trope.
I don't hate what they did with Tashigi, I think the character is cute and the actress is pretty, but there is so much more room for improvements with her styling...
