⋆.𐙚 ̊ RIDDLE never imagined that a responsibility that he had for long could he so enjoyable, and all it took was you by his side. The first time this kind of date happened wasn’t even intentional. He was tending to the Heartslabyul’s hedgehogs, making sure that they are all okay after a game of cricket during an unbirthday party. That was the time that you decided to come help him, although he was hesitant about accepting your offer, he did finally gave up his resistance. And he was really glad that he did because together you started a new tradition, where you meet up at the end of every friday to have a nice picnic, surrounded by many colourful hedgehogs. Whatsoever, Riddle is still reluctant to admit to the fact that he does get a little jealous when looking at the way you baby these small animals. But that’s nothing a few kisses and snuggles can’t fix.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ ACE loves taking you to amusement parks. He especially likes it if you are more on the scared side when it comes to rollercoasters, as he can pride himself on being the braver one (despite internally crying at the sight of any extreme attraction), and sneakily avoid going to anything too scary for himself, without looking like a loser. Although his favourite part are the games. He always insists on winning you a plushie, no matter how many you already got from him. What can he say, he likes to show off his talent when there’s a chance to. And seeing you smile is always a huge bonus.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ DEUCE felt himself fall for you even further (if that’s possible) the first time you took him to a petting zoo. Specifically the section with chickens and little chicks. At first you could have thought that he wasn’t pleased with your choice of date, but it was because he was so overwhelmed by emotions that he had frozen. But after coming back to his senses he immediately looked at you with such eagerness in his eyes, that you couldn’t help but imagine a tail behind his back wagging. So with that in mind you took his hand and lead him to the laying chickens so you two could try to pet them. And you could swear that when he was holding one chicken and was surrounded by many more, his eyes look even more fond than any time that he looked at you (/j… or is it?)
⋆.𐙚 ̊ TREY and yours usual go to dates were what many would expect - baking dates. But this time you choose to take him somewhere entirely else. Well, not really take. You decided to invite him to your room so you two can have a sleepover party. Fortunately Riddle wasn’t very opposed so it wasn’t hard to manage. You finally have an opportunity to help Trey relax a little, cause while he wasn’t not the most self-pressured man, he still sometimes forgot that he also needs a little break. Many would not even call what you were doing a date, but you didn’t need anyone’s approval of calling it whatever you wanted. You had set on just having a movie watching marathon while cuddling. And for both of you it was more than enough.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ CATER for a long time wanted to take some photos of a karaoke night, so it was only natural that you proposed a date in a karaoke booth. You both came up with matching outfits so you could look even more like a duo when you will be singing together. When you already arrived, Cater instantly was in his element, probably due to being a part of a band with Kalim and Lilia. He even had took a professional camera so he could take the best photos and videos. But you had so much fun that you didn’t even notice when he was taking photos of you. And when posting what he recorded and photographed, he made sure to consult with you if you want to share your singing voice with others or not. He was okay with both, he would still get to hear you sing whatever your answer could be.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ LEONA in a theatre wasn’t a sight that many would have imagined. And while he wasn’t a huge fun of them, he tolerated them. In his younger years he did sometimes attend some performances due to his status as a prince, so it wasn’t anything new to him. There was a performance that you really wanted to see, so when you asked if he would like to tag along, he agreed without much hesitation. He may be fond of big crowds and noises, but he is fond of you so he didn’t have anything to lose. Although you had to help him get into his suit due to his laziness, as in holding his jacket so he could push his arms into the sleeves and buttoning his shirt. You also tied a tie around his neck but after seeing his frown you immediately took it off with a sigh. And after that you both were ready to go. At first you thought that he would just nap while the performance went on, but he was set on watching it. After all you were so invested in it, so how could he not?
⋆.𐙚 ̊ RUGGIE wasn’t the one to take you to the most extravagant and pricey dates due to obvious reasons. But it wasn’t something that bothered you much, as his presence and the fact that he still put an effort in taking you anywhere was enough. Although his favorite dates are the ones where you both just are able to go out for a walk when it’s almost night. It’s so peaceful and quiet, letting you fill the space with your laughter and chatter. Very often it’s the time where you both are most vulnerable - your night walks are the usual the place where all your arguments and problems are resolved. That’s why you two try making it a routine, you try to find at least one day per week where you both can meet up.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ JACK to many’s surprise was a big fan of gardening, especially when it comes to cactuses. And because of that you often arranged time for an opportunity to join him in his little hobby. His floral knowledge didn’t limit only to cactuses, so if you wanted to grow something else, he was your person to go to. While he didn’t voice his thoughts on your company, he knew that you know that he really appreciated your presence next to him. Although he did sigh quite often due to your forgetfulness about cactuses’ spikes. But despite his complaints about you not being careful, he was already taking your hands and wrapping bandages around your pained fingers. And who knows, maybe if you plead long enough he would kiss it better too.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ AZUL is quite a busy person, so dates weren’t something that occurred very often in your relationship. But when they did happen it was always extravagant and memorable. Although if he had to be honest, his favourite place to go with you was the aquarium. It may be predictable due to him being a merfolk, but there was something about them that just brings him peace. When taking you there he always made sure that there will be the least possible number of people, so you two can enjoy each other’s and the water creatures’ presence to the fullest. To no one surprise he especially enjoyed being with you in the octopus section. Watching you interact with animals that so many deemed as unpleasant to look at was something that always made him warmer and safer.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ JADE and taking him on dates was both equally difficult. Not in the sense that he was always dissatisfied with the places or activities you choose, but he always wore the same smile, which made you more determined to finally came up with the ideal date. And hiking was out of the question, cause then his whole attention was everywhere but you. It was not your ideal description of a date. So you cam with the idea of taking him to bowling alley, due yo the fact that he reminded you of a bowling pin. And thankfully it was a very good decision, as it was probably one of the few times that you could see Jade’s sincere joy. You could bear the fact that you lost all rounds that you played. It was definitely worth it.
⋆.𐙚 ̊ FLOYD is someone that you could take on a specific date once and never again, or at least keep quite a large distance between the times of taking him there. That’s why his favourite kind of date to go, was exploring abandoned buildings. And while he wasn’t all that interested in the architecture or history behind them, he really liked the thrill of not knowing if something would happen. Whatever it be a ghost, something falling down or someone chasing you out of their property.

ෆ pairing :: third years x reader | fae!reader for malleus and lilia
ෆ featuring :: lilia v. ෆ trey c. ෆ malleus d. ෆ vil s. ෆ idia s. ෆ cater d. ෆ leona k. ෆ rook h.
ෆ summary :: luckily for you, you'd been accepted into one of the most prestigious magic schools. unfortunately for you, your ex boyfriend was there.
After enrolling at NRC somewhat late, with the headmage accepting you thanks to his kindness—and the fact that a donation to the school is never turned down—you knew there was a chance it could happen, but you hoped you wouldn't have to go through it. However, the last thing you expected was to run into your ex boyfriend…
── Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia had lost so many people and things throughout his life, yet he never imagined losing you. Your relationship had been quite fleeting, and after so many years, anyone would think he probably didn't even remember it. But Lilia would never forget things like that, especially when it involved one of the most important people in his life. Even after hundreds of years, Lilia still remembered the way your face felt in his hands.
Studying at that age wasn't really part of your plans. You knew that several fae attended magic schools, however, it wasn't in your plans to be one of them. And yet, somehow, there you were; attending a school full of human teenagers at your wonderful 300 years of age.
It was just a second that went unnoticed by everyone around. You only caught sight of him in the distance as you crossed campus on your way to the headmage's office; at first, it was hard to recognize him, not only because he was with two guys you didn't know, but because he looked… different. His hair was different, even his expression.
Lilia's eyes met yours as if he could somehow sense that it was you, his playful smile faded from his face even though he didn't stop walking. His mind tried to process whether what he was seeing was real, or perhaps he was trying to confirm that it was you. The shiver that ran through your body felt a bit like the last time you'd seen each other. What were the chances of running into your ex boyfriend of hundreds of years in a school full of human teenagers? Surely the universe, or the great seven hated you!
And the worst part—perhaps—was that this was only the beginning of your reunion with Lilia.
── Trey Clover
Your relationship with Trey lasted longer than expected, but at some point, it felt like "just a kid thing." It happened before he had to leave to study at NRC, and it was probably your first relationship that you even remembered years later. So when you were accepted into the magic school—a little late—all you could think about was him. However, because you were both so young when it happened, you didn't expect him to even recognize you. Besides, it hadn't been anything more than a kid thing, one of those relationships that didn't even mean anything, right?
You didn't know if it was fate that hated you or if it was probably some kind of second chance because when you asked for help finding the headmage's office because it was so easy to get lost in that school, you had only touched the shoulder of a tall boy who was standing with his back to you near one of the third-year classes, so you assumed it was someone who had been there long enough to help you.
It seemed like nothing had changed when he turned around. Trey's eyes met yours, and that gentle expression you always remembered on his face transformed into something more, something bordering on surprise. Your whole body tensed, and your lips remained slightly parted, trying to process the fact that—of all the students in that damn school—the person you were going to ask for help was your ex boyfriend.
Your lips remained slightly parted, but the words you had in mind never left your mouth. You took a step back almost instinctively before murmuring "I'm sorry" and turning away. Oh no, no. Why did these things have to happen on your very first day?
And although Trey didn't stop you, his eyes remained fixed on your back as you walked away, making you the only thing on his mind for the rest of the day.
── Malleus Draconia
The relationship with Malleus had been a bit strange, something like a fleeting illusion, quite close to a fairy tale, and not precisely because he was one of the most powerful mages. The relationship with Malleus made you feel as if you were both in a world no one else could enter, and that was probably why it became too intense, to the point of being unbearable. There were many things neither of you could control, and sometimes it was all too easy to forget that he was the heir to Briar Valley, and that he had truly important matters to attend to, matters in which the crown, unfortunately, did not include you. And although the relationship didn't last as long as either of you might have wanted, it didn't end in the worst possible way, even though it was strange to simply lose the person you used to talk to every day, the one who had always been by your side.
So when you saw him in NRC it was like the worst reality check you'd ever received; you knew there was a small chance of finding him there, but in the end you never thought that the heir himself would try to have a normal school life.
It was a moment that happened too quickly, and you weren't really sure if he had even seen you. Malleus stood out from the other students in a ridiculous way, but that single second was enough to freeze you in place. Ever since you set foot in that school you had felt disoriented because of how ridiculously big it was, you'd spent the last ten minutes walking in what you thought was the right direction. And yet, you'd never felt so disoriented as you did in that moment.
The greenish uniform suited him far too well. It hadn't been that long since you two had last spoken—or at least that's how it felt to any fae; for a normal human, it could easily be half a lifetime—but somehow you were sure he looked completely different. It wasn't until you snapped back to reality that the panic of being seen overwhelmed you, causing you to simply turn around and try to get out of there.
In your mind, you were safe; with a bit of luck, you wouldn't see him again. But to Malleus, you hadn't gone unnoticed, despite what you might have thought. How could he not notice his first love in the middle of the crowd?
── Vil Schoenheit
Your relationship with Vil had been long, but it had felt like the opposite because everything had been kept secret. You'd talked more than once about maybe going public, but dating someone like Vil came with a lot of problems that not many people were willing to take on, not to mention that he wanted to protect that part of his life. Especially you. You two didn't end things on bad terms; in fact, you were friends for a while until it eventually became unbearable to keep talking to each other like nothing had happened, and communication simply… broke down. No one said anything that could damage the other's reputation; it just faded away.
It wasn't that you weren't aware Vil was at that school; in fact, it was one of your first thoughts as you wandered around, trying to figure out where to go when classes started. However, you knew Vil was a really busy person, and even if you ended up in the same dorm, you could avoid him. You just had to do everything right to avoid ever having to speak to the housewarden. Besides, you had arrived late; there wasn't even a ceremony where he had to receive you. Even better if you weren't even in the same dorm.
When it happened on a normal day during your first days, he was the first to notice you from a distance. That composure he always tried so hard to maintain had suddenly vanished, and he stood frozen. It wasn't until you felt that strange sensation of being watched that you turned around and met his eyes; only a few meters separated you, but it seemed that there was much more between you. Vil knew that you two hadn't ended things badly, there hadn't been a fight or anything between you that would make things tense if you saw each other again, so why did he feel that way?
His lips pressed together in what looked like a polite smile before he continued walking with a short boy with purple hair beside him. The feeling hadn't been entirely unbearable, but it hadn't been particularly pleasant either, because it still felt a bit strange… it was as if there was still something you two had to talk about, but neither of you was sure what it was.
── Idia Shroud
Oh Idia… the relationship with Idia had been something you could only describe as different. Getting close to him had already been difficult; the mere fact that he had let you into his world had been difficult, but when he did, it was because he knew he wanted you by his side. For a second he had stopped being the nervous boy who was in his room all the time and had found someone with whom to share his favorite things and who did not make him feel judged. So when he had to leave it was a strange reality check, and although at first you two were almost certain that a long-distance relationship would work, eventually things just stopped working.
Idia knew perfectly well that you were there and had been incredibly efficient at avoiding you. Not that you had a chance of running into him anyway; if he was lucky, you'd only see a tablet floating in the distance, and he'd never have to exchange a word with you for the rest of his school life. However, sometimes he had to leave the room—preferably at night—to look for something in one of the vending machines. That's when he saw you with that expression of concentration, wrinkling your forehead in an attempt to decide which late-night snack you were going to choose.
He froze for about four seconds; usually his anxiety made him act impulsively, and if you were someone else he would have run away already, but you were the person he had trusted the most ever, so a part of his body never quite forgot all that trust he had placed in you.
Idia didn't speak to you, nor did he say a single word before running down one of the corridors when his mind finally reacted. Anyway, what could he say without dying of panic and embarrassment? It was like one of those bad movies where the protagonist runs into his ex by pure bad luck.
He knew that scenario was possible, he just never thought it would happen to him! And although he was sure that he had gone unnoticed or had wished that you hadn't seen the seconds he stood frozen in front of you, his hair was quite difficult to ignore.
── Cater Diamond
Your relationship with Cater was quite fleeting but somewhat intense. It was one of those times he'd moved; honestly, he hadn't expected to end up in a relationship because it was something he found a bit difficult, especially when you're changing locations so often. But somehow things had worked out with you, you had taken advantage of every second you had available, you had reached a point where it seemed you couldn't live without each other, you met a Cater completely different from the one he showed to everyone else… Until he had to move away, that's when he realized that love wasn't always enough to maintain a relationship.
When you first saw Cater it was actually during one of the breaks, you had sat down at a random table, where it turned out there were some Heartslabyul students who seemed nice. It was about five minutes before other upperclassmen sat down on the other side of the table, and it was that shiny hair that caught your attention. Cater said nothing at first when he realized it was you. For a second you noticed that different expression on his face and his whole facade that he had worked so hard to build crumbled for a split second before putting itself back together with amazing ease. He didn't say anything about the past you two shared, nor did he make the moment at the table awkward.
Perhaps you were a little more surprised by the way he had simply greeted you with such kindness and given you a smile—much gentler than to anyone else at that table—and although that had made you feel calmer, there was something that kept bothering you. You tried to continue with your lunch like a normal student and pretend that your ex boyfriend wasn't on the other side of the table.
Luckily for Cater, he hoped no one had noticed the way his eyes kept glancing towards you every few seconds.
── Leona Kingscholar
Your relationship with Leona was… peculiar. You weren't part of the royal family, so for a while there was that pressure; you always knew that eventually something would happen that would make it stop working, but maybe neither of you wanted to see it. He was there to get away from it all, but the fact that the universe or one of the great seven put his ex in the same school seemed like a bad joke, and although Leona never hid or pretended that you didn't exist, he simply continued with his normal routine, hoping that with some luck, he would never have to meet you… but life never seemed to be on his side.
You knew Leona was there, you knew it from the very first moment; you just hoped you wouldn't run into him. On your first day, you looked like a hysteric, glancing around, thinking that if you saw him first, you could end up running away and avoid an awkward moment between the two of you.
But apparently, you weren't so lucky because the awkward moment happened anyway, and in the worst possible way.
The botanical garden was bigger than you expected, and finding what you were looking for wasn't entirely easy. It also wasn't easy to see where you were walking with a note full of unusual plant names practically blocking your view. So when you almost tripped over something while walking, your first thought was that it was a branch. A strange branch… and hairy, what kind of plant was that?
Leona sighed in frustration when someone interrupted his nap, forcing him out of his hiding place just to see who it was. By this point, most people knew where he usually napped, so these kinds of interruptions weren't common, however, it wasn't a freshman as he'd initially thought. His expression changed completely when he saw you standing there, clearly with the same surprise he was feeling at that moment; his expression vanished as quickly as it came, being replaced by that serious expression you knew.
“Be careful next time,” was all he murmured before walking past you to leave, his hoarse voice had left you frozen for several seconds that felt like an eternity. You were expecting a different kind of voice, not exactly a reprimand, because Leona had never acted like a jerk in front of you. However, you certainly hadn't expected that gentle tone that you'd noticed he only used with you.
── Rook Hunt
Your relationship with Rook had been totally intense, he had always made you feel like the most special person in the world, he had taught you the basics of using the bow at your request and he always had something nice to say. Rook had an impressive ability to make you feel totally unique, not just in his world or in his life. Unfortunately, it had been as intense as it was fleeting. When he had to leave to NRC, neither of you objected. You hadn't suggested a long-distance relationship either, but you weren't entirely sure why this option had never come up in conversations. Anyway, teenage relationships ended all the time. However, when it was you who was accepted, it was as if the regret of whether it had been the right thing to break up hit you, especially when you thought about the idea of running into him in the hallways.
When you saw him across campus, in a uniform completely different from the one you remembered, it was a strange shock. Everything about him looked different, though not in a bad way; he was still him, probably even more so than before. You had hoped that he wouldn't notice your presence before taking another path when you noticed that he was coming along a path that led towards you even though his eyes hadn't turned towards you even once. You successfully avoided him, and although the situation had left you in complete shock and trying to process what had happened, at least you could be certain that you hadn't exchanged a single word and he hadn't even noticed you. Or at least that's what you thought.
Rook knew you were there from the first second; perhaps not saying anything had been his way of making you feel calm, if pretending that nothing had happened between you and trying to avoid him made you feel better, he didn't intend to interfere. However, his eyes had drifted to you out of the corner of his eye; he had noticed the way your gaze had fixed on him even if you hadn't realized it.
Anyway, Rook wasn't going to let you have a bad time during your school stay, even if he had to take care of you from a distance.

Rosemary wore the same sweater after Edmund and Molly went missing. In hopes of the kids being alive they'd spot her bright yellow sweater and run to their mum.
Then she kept wearing it due to depression.
Then she never took it off because Jack and her bought it together.
She wore a bright and happy colour even when breaking down.

edit: people are starting to say some "my worst nightmare" or "eeeww no that one is yucky and scary" comments on this like they do on any bug post and id like to say. it's fine if you don't like bugs it's fine if you're scared of bugs but don't put that on MY post clearly talking about how much i like them and how cute i think they are. you can make your own damn post about how much you hate wasps or spiders or whatever. i'm blocking people who make these kinds of comments.

I think itd be funny if people in the dc universe started calling for Batman in the same why they call on mayor Mandani any time theres an inconvenience in Gotham from the local villian of the week to the city needs more dumpsters they just make and upload a video saying "Batman can you come deal with this"
