What if Ryland and Tom meet at the hospital after the accident
First and foremost I just want to clarify. I suck at writing. My grammar is unfortunately bad and my nails are to long right now and my brain works faster then my fingers. So sorry if this is badly written but I’ve been thinking of this all day at work. I won’t call this a fic more of a concept that got way out of and I just couldn’t stop lol
Pls if anyone needs Ryland/tom fics ideas if any kind lmk I have so many. Please involve me
What if, the same day Colt brings Ryland to set is the same day as the fall accident. Before that, everything was going just fine. Colt introduced Ryland to Jody, Dan and the rest of the production crew. Everyone loved Ryland (of course they did). Colt for the sake of spearing his brother from the annoyance and ego from Tom Ryder. Purposely doesn't introduce them.
So, everything was going great! Just another day as a stunt man with his beloved twin brother in set. Tom makes another asshole comment about his jaw line not being the same, and wanting a reshoot..But that’s fine bc it means he can do a cool stunt in front of Ryland!
But then the accident happens. He’s being rushed to the hospital. Last thing he remembers is getting thrown into the ambulance, and cries of his name come out from Ryland and Jody.
After he wakes up from his coma a month later (idk if this can even be realistic. If it can’t well it is now for the sake of this) Colt heavy on pain meds, so much he only manages to be awake for a minute. Enough times to see a beautiful woman next to him, and a blonde man with a beanie on at the foot of the bed. What he didn’t catch was another blonde man sitting not so far way from the beanie blonde.
Later as he started to recover, he’s able to gain more consciousness. In between sleep his able to catch Jody by his side. Or his brother half asleep on the hospital couch in his room. Until one day, when he wakes up he looks over at the couch, and see his brother again asleep on the couch but this time there’s someone else with him?
The guy has blonde hair, and looks very familiar. His back side if facing him, and his head is slightly hidden away in his brothers hair and…looks like Tom Ryder? A little to much like Tom Ryder, Colt just shakes his head and blames it on the pain meds cause why on gods green earth, would tom by cuddled up with his brother? Yeah no, he’s very much high on pain meds and is still super tired and when he wakes up, Tom won’t he here and all of this is just a hallucination.
Expect it’s not. He wakes up and his brother is wake now too and Tom is still there. Asleep and wayyyyy to comfortable next his little brother.
Colt is speechless. Ryland then notices Colt awake, wide eyed staring at him and get up to sit near him and greet him. Completely forgetting about Tom.
Giddy to be able to speak to his injured brother before visiting hours are over. Ryland start to talk when he realizes Colt is not looking at him and very much still starting at Tom.
“A fly will land on you’re mouth if you leave it hanging open Colt”
“Who Tom? Oh, um he’s here with me. He said he had a free day and could come with me today”
“Why? I just told you why. Colt what’s going on are you feeling oka-“
“No, why is he with you?! Why do you know him? You weren’t supposed to know him and why you’re you cuddling him. Why-“
“Colt, stop you’re yelling cal-“
“Of course I’m yelling! Why is he here and how is he still asleep!”
“And how do you know what”
“No how do you know that he’s a heavy sleeper. Why is he here-“
“Colt don’t point it’s rude”
“No, him being here is ruder. Ryland again..why is ass hat here”
“Ass hat…as in ‘Ry you don’t understand he’s such egoistic asshole’ ass hat?”
“Impossible, anyone who hear’s him speak once knows that right away”
“Well I didn’t okay. Hasn’t said anything to me yet that’s made me think of him like that…sometimes he says some stuff but he’s just trying to cheer me up, he even made Jody laugh once!”
“No Jody was laughing at him, never with him. She would never”
“No she was, I know her and I know Tom. She tolerates him at best, but she would never laugh with him.”
“Colt, calm down please you’ll hurt yourself”
“Again why is he here Ryland. How did this…whatever this is start”
“Well, the day after the accident. Gail, Tom and Dan came over to check up on you. Jody and I were just waiting for clearance to be able to see you in the waiting room.
Gail and Dan went up to Jody to ask about you and you know any updates, and some during that..Tom sat next to me. He asked me how you were doing, and if I was okay. Obviously Colt I wasn’t. I mean I just witnessed twin fall. I knew they said you where okay and just need to wake up from you coma.
But I was still scared Colt. I was scared and he was there offering comfort. Then we just, I guess started talking, getting my mind of the accident a bit. Next thing we know it’s been a few hours and he had to go, since he still had to show up to set the next day.
But before he left..he asked if it was okay if he could show up the next day after work. I said yeah, of course.
And he did. He showed up the next day, came in with some food and coffee for me. Which was very kind of him”
“Yes Colt, it was very kind of him. He came and sat with me all the time he could, and brought me food and kept me company. He was being kind, even with Jody. Some time he would text me asking what she would like. She always said she wasn’t hungry, but would being extra food so I could offer it to her”
“Fine he made sure you didn’t starve, but that still doesn’t explain the physical closeness”
“Oh come on Colt. I mean hospital arnt know for their comfortableness. He would offer to let me lean on him a bit so I could get in a decent nap ever now and then. Colt it really isn’t that serious”
“Yes it is Ry! And I don’t like it. He’s an asshole and you shouldn’t be friends with an asshole like him. And how is still sleeping. God my head hurts. All of this is crazy, it’s not real. No it can’t be real”
Okay I got tired of writing, but yes I’m obsessed with StarStruck - and I have so many ideas for fics about them.
Anyways if you made it this farrrr sorry for any bad grammar.
