Hello there!

Demigods always struggle in mortal school systems. More often than not, they don't consider the children's ADHD, and dyslexia and the demigods aren't getting proper understanding nor accomodations from most of their teachers which obviously results in most of them dropping out, keep moving, and generally not learning at all. And then Grace, probably undiagnosed audhd, takes his time to accomodate them, because be knows how they struggle in a system that's not built for them. There are other teachers and higher ups in tbe school that think these problem children are lost cause, too hyper, too lazy, etc.

He easily becomes their favorite teacher, making science and studies genuinely interesting instead of a chore, or something that's personally out to get them.

And then the whole Astrophage thing happens. The sun is dimming. And somehow the Greek Pantheon, or the divine realm in general are connected to it and are also having trouble with it for reasons that I am not that creative to come up with.

The plot of Project Hail Mary still happens, Grace gets forced in the ship, meets Rocky, etc.

(Mid way through typing I thought of another idea and thats where the Grace x Apollo ship comes in. Sorry my mind is vv scrambled rn)

Whilst the gods are panicking, the launch is announced in TV, and Apollo, disguised as a mortal, sees that scientist Ryland Grace was one of the astronauts and his first reaction was "This mortal is kinda cute", then "Wait.. Isn't this my daughter's science teacher?" He has been doubling his efforts in being more involved in his children's lives(no matter what Zeus says) and he remembered her mentioning a favorite teacher of hers. Ryland Grace.

Then, the beatles come back and the the sun is slowly starting to get brighter. Everyone is in disbelief that a mortal (who is not aware of the godly world at this point) can solve a problem that the GODS have been trying to solve. Apollo at first is as shocked as the others that a MERE MORTAL MAN. Then after his initial shock, he starts to feel something else.... Artemis is getting tired at this point considering her brother's dazzling track record of tragic lovers.

Imagine Apollo rolling up to Erid in his chariot being like

"Hey"

Waitt in the Riordanverse, multiple pantheons coexist. Like the Greeks, the Egyptians, the Norse. Imagine if Eridians have/had various religions and also have a few pantheons running around and now Grace saved two suns, two planets, and two(and more) pantheons probably.

I was trying to look for ideas for an Eridian oc. Then while researching I saw a "yellow botryoidal fluorite" and it looked like my fav foods, an egg. And I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Fried Egg has mixed feelings about being named after earth food. In their opinion, they don't want to be food. However, they do want to be consumed. They always wondered what it feels like to be consumed. Esp by a human. Leaky space blobs they were. And they have no problem saying it. To Grace's face.

Is a quote I thought about when thinking of the tragedy of Colt dying from stunt injuries, then Ryland being sent on a suicide mission (he has no immediate family Stratt says), and Court outliving them both.

He's no parent. But he was there. He was there when they said their first words, took their first steps. He was the one who got them ready for school, made them food, comforted them when they had nightmares. He was the one who caught Colt everytime he fell. He was the one who sparked Ryland's interest in science.

As they grew older, the twins couldn't be any more different in personality, but their eyes held the same admiration for their older brother in the way it lit up when they see him, a way of saying they feel protected. Safe. As if all the terrors of the world can never reach them when he's around. Their eyes was what Court thought of as he shot their father dead. Even as he was taken by the Sierra program, he finds his way at the corner far back in the audience on their graduation. He's not their parent, but he raised them all the same.

As is things didn't get any worse imagine that in this au. ✨Tom Ryder x Ryland Grace✨ (starstruck? Whatever ppl decide the ship name is) are together. They've been going on the down low but someone leaked a photo or video of them which proved that they are, in fact, in a relationship, which led to a social media frenzy that took quite awhile to control.

Ryland doesn't fix Tom during their time together, but Tom bettered himself for Grace despite his initial intention to date Ryland just to spite his brother. Said brother doesn't buy it tho, in his mind, Tom is still a stuck-up prick. He even tries to convince Ryland to break up with him, but he remains as stubborn as ever, much to Colt's chagrin and Tom's smug delight.

At first among the two of them, Tom is the popular one in the relationship, something he would often joke about, but since the whole hail mary happened, ppl were quick ro notice that one of the astronauts has a striking resemblance to the boyfriend of one popular actor.

Shortly after the launch of the hail mary, Tom gets bombarded by reporters, interviewers, news stations, etc. But he is an absolute WRECK. Not only does his boyfriend vanish from the face of the planet(at first meant metaphorically, but apparently now literally), but he also has to deal with the mess that comes along with it AND ALSO THE FACT THAT HIS BOYFRIEND WAS GONNA DIE and there was no communication. No phone call. Text. Nothing. He locks himself in as those ppl basically camp his house.

Colt and Tom never really got along. Even after Tom and Ryland got together, and even after Tom started being less of a prick. But there is now a silent understanding between them. A shared grief for a brother and a lover.

After a few years, a biopic of Project Hail Mary is in production. There's gonna be a part where the astronauts' lives shortly before the launch is shown. And wouldn't you know it. There's a replica of Dr. Grace in the form of his twin brother who already has experience in movie production. Yknow who else has experience in movies?

He is everything 🥰

Hadrians too awkward and Erik, while charismatic at first glance, is simply "too much" for genuine bonds that last. And he wouldnt have it any other way. Its always been like this after all. Why would he need anyone else.
