nobody needs to know your real name or your hometown or where you work or your home country or your race or ethnicity or skin color or phone number or the name of your first pet or the model of your first car or your mother’s maiden name or how many siblings you have or what school you go to or your credit card number

It’s still wild to me when I see someone whose email address is their first and last name. Why are you just giving that out!??

use e.g. Proton's Proton Pass to generate email aliases for every website. you can even "send" and "receive" emails using these

What I absolutely despise is people making up allegations just to force out information a person didn't wanted to share in the first place. That could be any sensitive information, that has to be pulled out by someone for defending themselves. Mental health, abuse, medical information, gender identity, sexual orientation, anything, it's not safe or respected anymore. Strangers wanna dissect your whole personality online to decide are you a good or bad person.
