The gooseworx backlash is Cancel Culture(TM) with many hiding behind anti-racism to justify their unchecked anger.
It's a constant effort to paint any tweet or aspect of her writing in the least charitable light as possible. No room for nuance or consideration to tone.
Mob Mentality - My Little Pony
Mob Mentality and Silencing Abuse
Forcing abuse survivors to keep quiet out of their own safety and well-being shouldn't have been a thing, and yet here we are with some having to choose between backing down and risking their lives sharing and spreading awareness of the harm being done to them.
It is such a maddening age to have mob mentality not only be tolerated, but justified, especially on crimes that are supposed to dish out capital punishment such as sexual abuse and violence. Is a majority of the Internet growing inept at handling serious topics?
Shame on those who partake in this abhorrent behavior. I care not if I get ridiculed for it, because honestly? Shaming participants of behavioral issues such as this should return as a practice, even if there will always be some persistent nutjobs of this caliber.
Never again let them shame you for collecting Warhammer models, anime figurines, or Pokémon cards.

Martyr of Philosophy: Hypatia of Alexandria
Today, let us remember the Martyr of Philosophy, Hypatia of Alexandria. She was a philosopher and teacher who encouraged dialogue and tolerance between Christians and pagans during a time of deep political and religious conflict. Her wisdom was so highly respected that people traveled from the farthest parts of the known world to seek her advice, and many among the highest ranks of society valued her counsel.
Yet her learning and influence also stirred jealousy and suspicion. Some wished to silence her voice.
According to Socrates Scholasticus, Hypatia was attacked by a mob of Christians, dragged into a church, killed with shards of pottery, her body torn apart, and the remains burned. The philosopher Damascius later suggested that her killers were driven by jealousy of her fame and influence.
Whatever the motive, her death was an act of cruelty and madness. She was dehumanized, tortured, and killed in a brutal and senseless way.
Let us remember her innocence, her love of wisdom, and the danger of mobs consumed by hatred. May her memory remind us never to allow such violence to take place again, and to defend learning, reason, and human dignity wherever they are threatened.
Mob mentality and a decaying government are two of the biggest threats to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
