Anakin grunted for the fifth time in a row since they arrived at this bar in the lower levels of Coruscant.
It was supposed to be a quiet night; the start of the war had taken everyone by surprise, and tonight both Anakin and Obi-Wan were looking to clear their minds a bit in some bar along with their battalion before returning to the battlefield.
Even Ahsoka had joined them on the sole condition that Anakin supervise her. Which he wasn't doing, as he had his stormy eyes fixed on Obi-Wan at all times.
The omega was happily chatting and drinking near the bar with a man, provoking anger and jealousy in Anakin.
The alpha tried to restrain himself, clenching his jaw and fists more and more, losing what little sanity he had left when that stranger approached to whisper something in the omega's ear, his omega, and Obi-Wan gave him a flirty smile.
Anakin doesn't know when he was already in the middle of the two, lifting the man by the neck to suffocate him.
“Anakin! Let him go!” An inhuman rage flooded him upon learning that Obi-Wan was defending this stranger, so he squeezed the neck tighter, causing the body to convulse violently from lack of oxygen.
Obi-Wan grabbed his arm and tried to pull him away, but Anakin was stronger. He's always been stronger than the omega.
“If you kill him, I will never forgive you,” Obi-Wan murmured, and Anakin emerged from the fog of anger and overflowing jealousy that blinded him, seeing the omega in front of him, staring at him with a frown.
He also noticed that the entire bar was watching him, including Ahsoka, who stopped talking to Cody and Rex and stared at him in surprise.
As if the man weighed nothing, Anakin threw him against a table, causing him to faint in the process. And without another word, he stormed out of the bar.
The music that had been playing returned, but now it was distant, and Anakin growled as he kicked at everything in front of him. His canines longed to bite something to calm himself, and even his eyes burned with the rage that still consumed him.
“Anakin!” The alpha turned his face slightly, glancing over his shoulder as Obi-Wan followed him into this desolate alley beside the bar. “Are you alright? What happened to you?”
Anakin turned to get a better look at the omega, his brow furrowing even more. "Easy for you, isn't it? Ignoring my feelings but acting like a schutta in front of others."
