Here’s some things to know about me & my interests!

- I’m a 22-year-old cishet woman with autism, I’ve been had a lot of hyperfixations and I never stop loving them even when I fall out of my hyperfixations again and again, I eventually have a relapse in them sometimes.

I joined tumblr bc I’ve heard that it is a very accepting place for fandoms and I’ve been on my Instagram fanpage/s for years where I have dealt with a bunch of unwelcome hate in addition to my real life middle school experience that still affects me to this day in the sense that it has made me more cautious and reserved when it comes to talking about my interests with other people because I'm scared of judgement, and I’m looking to finally have a safe social space where I won’t get any of that and I can be my true self and fangirl as hard as I want. I’ve also watched Strange Aeons’ YT videos about tumblr, and I’m very interested in everything that happened in the world and on the internet when I was little and not allowed to have a phone (I’m a 2004 baby).

every year i get so irritated having to remind people that the met gala is a CHARITY for the ARTSSSS

if there is fucking anything that rich people can put their money towards during an ai wave, it is this

literally every single dollar goes towards the museum and keeping it free for new york, new jersey, and connecticut residents, along with maintaining the met’s archive, because it is NOT government funded and the gala is what provides majority of the museums funding

But it doesn't make the fundraising any less relevant. I don't know much about the costume institute of the met BUT I do know their historical fashion archive is INSANE (I'm a whore for historical fashion, I've spent so much time learning about it from literal historians and that's how I know the met's costume institute archive is an amazing source to learn how these garments actually looked like). That shit literally preserves history. If the rich are spending their money to preserve history, hell, I'm all for it, even knowing they're doing it to look good. The money is still going to be used to preserve history. And even a broken clock is correct twice a day, after all

I'll admit I was one of the people who engaged with the "like the Hunger Games" views, people were spouting on TikTok a few years ago, but that was before I knew what the met gala actually was.

Like yeah obviously it sucks that Bezos is attached to it. However, it's still has influential people helping out a charity & engaging with art made by humans & uplifting people with actual skills instead of just relying on/promoting AI slop & in this current timeline, I can't say that isn't encouraging to see. Also, a reminder that art (in all its many forms) is important. Life is not solely about maths, science, or sports. There are people who have studied this stuff, have made it their entire careers, and they should be respected for their work. Lastly, art is not just a "cute dress" or a "pretty painting", it showcases changes throughout history, politics, and cultures. It helps people express themselves and who they want/deserve to be.

Writing art off as just fake libral/rich people nonsense when it is an aspect of all human civilisations & an overall connecting force of the human experience is small-minded & just wrong.

Sorry to get on my soap box there for a second. It just doesn't sit right with me that people take a lot of our personal freedoms for granted.

Like, oh, they're just trousers. Yeah, well, actresses in America actually had to fight for the right to wear them on TV because they were deemed too scandelss. And similarly with women wearing shorts & Minnie skirts. So no clothes aren't just clothes, sometimes they're litrual protests about humans' right to autonomy. I mean, could you imagine a world where you couldn't wear what you want to ie. school, work, military & prison.

One aspect of my autism that I forget about is that I have collections of things and I always forget about them because I stopped collecting them but I didn’t get rid of them so while I do have collections of things I am not an active collector

Taylor and Travis appeared as guests at a wedding tonight in NYC! Taylor’s beautiful pleated full-length gown was an immediately recognizable one to me as Taylor has worn this designer before. First, many years ago in 2012 in the “Begin Again” music video. Then, more recently, at the “15 and Mahomies” gala in 2024. Such is the benefit of having a signature style - it’s that distinctive! While the gown is described as “gold” - which Taylor accessorized with via her coordinating Aquazzura bag and heels - it also sort of has an olive green sheen to it don’t you think? Or perhaps I should say … greeeeeeeeeeeen.

Meanwhile, on the jewelry front, Taylor took the “Elizabeth Taylor” route by committing to wearing the full vintage opal suite by jeweler Darlene De Sedle that recently came into her possession. The earrings, bracelets, and ring all once belonged to the famed actress who purchased many of De Sedle’s pieces in the late 90s. This is our first time seeing all of the pieces worn together. Taylor has previously been spotted accessorizing outfits with the bracelets and ring separately. The earrings, worn for a more festive occasion out, give us the debut reunion of all the pieces together on Taylor. How stunning!

The Florida-based jewelry retailer Fox Estate Jewelry provided additional background on the timeline of events that led to Taylor acquiring this beautiful suite of opal jewelry. Following the Christie's auction of Elizabeth Taylor's jewelry collection in 2011, Fox Estate acquired the suite. Fox Estate told WhoWoreWhatJewels that they sold the set around Christmas 2025 for a “six figure deal” to “a sports agent.” It appears that now we’re seeing the fruition of that sale! While not directly confirmed as a gift from Travis, it at least goes without saying that this suite would be a very thoughtful gift to Taylor. Its provenance in Elizabeth Taylor’s personal jewelry collection and its material composition of opals are both of massive significance to her.
