Mind if I come on board your Mackity breakup train? In terms of them in this story, I think they should break up because what was all this drama for? Is it more tragic that she waited this long to confess only for him to stay with her anyway or does it make this story pointless? If they do split, they probably will get back together. But at least make it last a while and it should happen after they gain some perspective about themselves, each other and as a couple. The latter is a very big ask at this day and age of the show. If they reunite, it’s because there are no other options for them. This is how I feel about Coira as well.

Everythinggggggg you say is correct. "The latter is a very big ask at this day and age of the show" god i KNOW. I used to think that soaps were like the underrated bright shining examples of lovely character writing and now i'm just like, imagine if a storyline developed a character? inconceivable.
no shade to ppl who love them but from where i'm sitting... i just don't really understand how or why they have been given Big Love Story status. They fit about as well together for me as Kerry / Jai. And if the last year is any indication... I don't get the sense that Mack really knows or understands Charity like.... at all. I love both characters, I find them boring and unwatchable as a couple. And that's where I stand!
