The calm before the storm.

I love that feeling. The way the air feels *lighter*, the cool breeze blowing in, the stillness of it all. The birds stop their singing. The bugs stop buzzing. The world falls quiet, and only then do I really notice just how *alive* everything is around me.

And the world waits.

No rush. No urgency. The rain will come in its own time. For a while, we all just sit, in silent anticipation. Waiting for the rain to fall.

The last sermon really hit hard. He told the story of when he tried to cut off my uncle's ear because he was wearing an earring. He only didn't because it was a clip on. This was played up for laughs, and it got them. Evil.
