A great comic telling people to stand up for their fellow fans!
You want to know how terrible that these douche bags can get? I made a Sailor Venus cosplay for my younger sister who looked amazing and proud to wear it. I made sure she wore white shorts that covered her panties and stopped where the skirt ended, (because of the horror stories we heard about perverts taking pictures up cosplayers’ skirts without consent) Turns out there were jerks trying to take pics up her skirt, but started to complain to each other that she was wearing shorts under and it wasn’t fair. SHE WAS UNDERAGE AT THE TIME OF WEARING THIS COSPLAY! Not only were they attempting sexual harassment, but ON A MINOR! Please, reblog this, spread the word, and stand up for other cosplayers if you see/hear this.
Also please report any sexual offenders like this to a security guard/event officials. If they don’t get what they want from you they’ll go to other girls and people like this should be kicked from events where they’re assaulting these people before their lack of self control turns into a rape
Attempting sexual harassment and BITCHING ABOUT THEIR TARGET HAVING TAKEN PREVENTATIVE MEASURES.
The entitlement is strong…
I made a comic about this exact topic once, and to this day I get people who don’t understand that what you wear isn’t consent to touch or harass them and these morons actually started sending me pictures of scantly clad cosplayers with captions that read “but she deserves it!” as if they’re trying to convince me otherwise. Ugh.
Actually, Dobson, what people were doing was pointing out that the comic you made about said topic was taken from a real incident that was fully consensual and you made yourself out to be the white-knighting hero when really you just siloed in the background.
And there’s actually photographic proof of this.
““I did absolutely nothing, but I’m gonna draw a comic making myself the hero”” A few people have alerted me to this Tweet, and I figured I’
Let’s just all agree that when the new Sailor Moon anime comes out, if there is even so much as a hint of the same shit that happened with MLP, we’ll crush it before it blows up. I will not have the Sailor Moon fandom become another misogynistic hellhole.
So, you’re saying that males aren’t allowed to ever like anything feminine, because of the so-called “misogyny” that is more likely a product of your own brain than actually something discernible to the average, outside observer?
I’m sure you think it’s perfectly fine when women produce truckloads of porn for games like Team Fortress 2, and that guys just need to “deal with it” when they come across it.
I’m so terribly sorry that the males enjoying something unjustly pigeonholed as strictly “feminine” didn’t live up to your unrealistic expectations of them by being average human beings exactly like those you encounter in life on a daily basis.
Now, before you instantly assume I’m a morbidly obese, cishet white male with a neckbeard and a fedora, I’m almost saddened to let you down by telling you that I’m a 5’4”, 31-year-old French/Lebanese woman from the midwest.
I’m sure you’re next going to assert that males enjoying something is somehow “taking it away from” women and children, which is absolute nonsense. I’m sure you’re also going to insinuate the tremendous amounts of “oppression” that you haven’t actually, personally experienced, but have instead only read about on blogs that clearly had a negative bias to begin with. In fact, pretty much all the allegations lobbied against this one, single fan base are complete and utter bullshit.
What’s even worse is that, instead of being positive about the upcoming reboot of a wonderful series, you remain bogged down in negativity, and looking to gain a few cheap notes and reblogs at the expense of others that you unfairly stereotype simply in order to feel more comfortable with their existence.
I’m sorry if I won’t idly stand for entitled, spoiled little teenage girls who can’t handle the most basic aspects of life sullying yet another fandom by taking the label of “feminism” and further abusing and staining it with their mascara-blackened tears, and repetitive claims of “misogyny” where it doesn’t actually exist. For being a Sailor Moon fan, you clearly don’t understand what feminism is actually about. You may wish to add the content here, here, here, and here to your scheduled reading, though I doubt you’ll take any opportunity to read anything that doesn’t just mindlessly bolster your own self-esteem, no matter who you shit on in the process.
If you could stop being a shallow, petty little disgrace not just to the Sailor Moon fan base, but to women everywhere, that’d be just super.
Oh that’s s- WAIT WHAT?!?

these are my predictions for how the right wing will evolve in 2014
we were warned. we didn’t listen. but we were warned
This keeps me up at night
I hate the right wing as much as the next guy but why the fuck does every god damn person think all Bronies are assholes. They’re literally just guys who like a certain horse cartoon
@aquatic-sardonic I’m going to assume you’re asking this in earnest and answer as best I can. Simple version, historical: The brony community produced so much untagged pornographic material of such violently graphic nature (and yes I mean violent) that all MLP tags on all social media sites and all search engines at all levels of safe search became totally unsuitable for use by minors, the show’s intended audience. Additionally pornographic artists and those seeking such art monopolized fan venues irl, even children-oriented ones, to the point where it drove others away. This generated some ill-will. Simple version, current: The brony community, particular what can be found on its dedicated forums, is comprised to an unusual degree by virulently misogynistic men. People pick up on this, and it generates some ill-will. Complicated version: We live in a society where men are often socially expected to be emotionally cut off, to reject deep social intimacy as feminine/gay/being weak, to be stoic in the face of sadness. Men are rarely expected or helped to learn any serious empathetic skills or vulnerability. Furthermore, media exploring such topics with a soft or compassionate touch is often restricted to “girl’s” media. My Little Pony was part of a nostalgia revival which saw old children’s properties revived with radically improved production values and general quality, and an explicit deemphasis on some of the aggressive gendering. MLP in particular was a property that succeeded fantastically at its intended goal, handling subjects of emotional intimacy, friendship, affection, and empathetic attachment at a level that was simultaneously nuanced enough to interest adults and simple enough for children to grasp. It did so with good production values and writing and a good dose of sincerity. This happened at the same time as an increasing public understanding of the damage masculine stoicism was doing to men, along with the first generation of teenage men and young men to have been raised on the internet and experienced the duality of connection via the internet and isolation via the internet being one’s source of connection. The result was a large group of ‘bronies’ who aggressively latched on to this source of emotional sincerity which they could seek comfort in. They lauded it as objectively good media to push back against (mostly imagined though understandable) criticisms it might be “for girls”, saying either it wasn’t or that liking something for girls was subversive and cool. At this point all was well. Except the thing is, there are two very different things people believe about why men are forced to be stoic and emotionally cut-off. One is that it’s part and parcel of patriarchal norms, that privileged supremacy is not always without drawbacks, and that a good way to undo toxic masculine expectations is to understand the misogynistic reasons they came to exist. i.e. What you hear feminists talking about all the time. The other is what Men’s Right’s Activists believe, which is that that women really control men’s lives and men’s problems are caused by women in part of an ongoing gender war. That latter is an especially common view among parts of the internet (see above meme culture and online white supremacists) where men’s total social isolation from women is easily accomplished and men don’t actually have to derive their beliefs about women from interacting with women. So when you got a bunch of heretofore socially unaware teenage boys and emotionally isolated young men latching onto this island of emotional sincerity … it was not a foregone conclusion that those fans would have any empathetic skills or social consideration. And then they found themselves inside of a fandom the rest of which was, naturally, rather feminist and actually had empathetic skills. This caused a lot of conflict where “lol kill yourself” memes and “get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich lol” from those isolated young men got … less than stellar receptions. A lot of young men, getting justly criticized for their behavior for perhaps the first time in an environment where they cared about what was thought of them and in which they sought intimacy, were deeply hurt. They were then incredibly vulnerable to recruitment into MRA ideologies which blamed women for their emotionally vulnerable woes. Furthermore, these ideologies didn’t promote actually learning or practicing emotional vulnerability. But rather a sort of “you can’t say we can’t enjoy this, that’s sexism!” without any of the actual scary and hurtful self-reflection that would have been required to live the ideals MLP espoused. They wanted to enjoy emotional sincerity and were angry that they felt unable to do so, but weren’t willing to put in the self-critical work necessary to do so or really had anyone to help them do so. And women proved a ready scapegoat for why they couldn’t do so if the fault didn’t lie in their own need to be seen as masculine. This “you can’t say we can’t enjoy this!” mentality plus the influx of people from chan boards plus the scapegoating misogyny drove a wave of violent pornographic material and aggressive vitriol andbigotry that rapidly drove out most people who preferred gentler fandoms. In the end, the hateful side of the fandom very much won. Lax forum moderation which wasn’t prepared for this saw almost all women and socially conscious men driven from fan forums, leaving mostly only those apathetic to it all and those who reveled in it. As public opinion of brony culture began to reflect this new reality, men who were simply interested in MLP but not the fandom tended to keep quiet about their interest or drop it altogether, not wanting association with the cesspit the fandom had become. Women, people of color, and those of the queer community were driven out by active malice from within the community. It made for a vicious cycle. Now the online MLP fandom is only really populated by those who aren’t bothered by the toxicity and aren’t its targets, which means … well, white cis mostly straight men who say and mean “lol it’s just a joke” about bigotry, and the straight up bigots. So now brony is justifiably synonymous with violent porn recklessly contaminating children’s spaces, the aggressive colonization of compassionate fandom spaces by vile people, and misogyny, racism, and bigotry of every stripe. That’s why so many people don’t like bronies. That answer your question?
@crazy-pages, that’s actually very incorrect. The True Brony community is a king, caring, empathetic place; your focusing solely on the toxic side of the fandom rather then the good side. I am a Brony, and I am proud to be one, because I am one of the people who know what the fandom is really about. The influx of toxicity was present at one point in time, however, that time has since passed and we moderate with vigor. We don’t stand for all the white supremacy shit, nor the gore, while there are bunches of people that still do that, we keep that away from people because that isn’t who we are. People only see the worst the fandom has and says that it defines us, without looking a little deeper and finding the good of the fandom. You paint all bronies with one brush, which isn’t right. You are hating on one group of people, which is bigotry. So, I ask you, who’s really the bad guy here, the people who accus is (such as you) of acting like savages who don’t give a damn, or the bronies, who are a group of generally nice people with a few flaws. Every fandom has their good and their bad. For bronies, all people see is the bad; for furries, they promote that stuff. They ignore the bad side of the furries because that’s more normalized. So, I ask you; is normalizing something that promotes zoopholia a good thing, or is it just as bad as promoting pedophilia? And I’ll have you know, just because we bronies are men who watch a little girls show, doesn’t automatically make us pedophiles. Just because furries are people who are attracted to animals doesn’t make them all zoophiles. Until you learn about what the fuck your talking about, don’t say anything about it. Until you experience the truth of it, you can’t say jack shit. So, I leave you with one final question; are we bronies really that bad, are all of us bad just because a few had their run? Do we all support white supremacy just because a minuscule amount do? Do we all have violent tendencies just because a few do? I can answer all of those. No. It doesn’t. All the bronies want is to shed this cloak of shadows that people keep applying, and be able to reveal the light of our true nature. We just want equality for everyone. To be a Brony means to be empathetic, understanding, caring, kind, equal, fair, and to be good people; a Brony will shed their cost to give it to someone who needs it more then they do. I’ve seen it happen. I’ve done it. Until you learn and actually research, don’t talk shit about a fandom. The best source of information about a fandom isn’t from normal people. The best source is from people within the fandom. Understand?
Alright. I have an announcement. I work with a guy on twitter, @ItsFuckenRuza, to catch ledophiles. I am opening the Tumblr branch of our organization. If you have any suspects of predation or pedophilia, please DM me.
Just finished a commission for Prince Whateverer... heh, it’s always fun drawing things for friends ^^

Bugs …?
Not quite sure what powers these give me...
Cause some people need a bit of positivity
[image reads “Don’t let past memories prevent you from making new memories, and don’t let past friends prevent you from making new friends”]
I mean no disrespect to @witchtaunter, but I discarded a fair portion of the advice they gave me (except for construction lines and using shapes) and just went with the flow of my hand. Don’t let other people morph how your art turns out, but you can let them have influence. There’s nothing wrong with asking for advice, but keep in mind that you have your own style, and no two styles are the same. Sometimes, if you just go with the flow of your hand, you can create something beautiful (most of the time it belongs in a fire pit as kindling though... but you can improve a drawing.... but sometimes it’s easier just to burn its existence... heh)
And don’t diss witchtaunter just cause I didn’t use their advice, and I’m not disrespecting them either, I’m just saying that everyone is a touch different, and trying to morph yourself into someone else’s shoes isn’t always a good thing

@ask-backy is a cat, confirmed.
Greetings, welcome to my blog!
Here I plan on doing art, commissions (for free... for now) and requests. Yes, you can chat to me via DM. Yes, you can ask me questions. And yes, you can request drawings of your OC. If you want a drawing of your OC, then use the submission button and submit a reference picture with the personality, as well as what you want (10 icons, fullbody, headshot) and I’ll try to get to it ASAP. Please remember that by doing this, you give me full artistic control over what pose it is in. If you have a specific pose in mind, then include that in the submission. I won’t always draw backgrounds, so don’t expect those either.
I don’t do any NSFW pictures, gore, scat, vore, or anything like that. If you ask for any of those, I will deny your request.
Feel free to ask me any questions, and I’ll try to respond to all of them within a day or two, unless I get really busy.
And before you ask, no, I am not a girl. No, I am not bisexual or gay. No, I’m not interested in dating you. Not meaning to be rude, but I’ve been asked that a lot on my other social media, and people can’t seem to take no for an answer...
And if you ever are feeling down, and want someone to vent to, feel free to come into my DM. I’ll try to help however I can (that doesn’t involve money... cause I’m broke as all hell)
Well... that’s all to my little re-introduction
Signed,
Kyto
