reading mornings

i didn’t even stage this. my desk actually looks like this rn

because procrastination + overthinking + general anxiety rule my life (haha......) one thing I try to implement as much as possible is “do it or drop it”. aka I need to decide if I’m going to work on/complete whatever I’ve been stressing over right now and if not, I just need to let it go. currently being applied to job applications 🥴 but it does help you get on with things instead of obsessing and stagnating on them, even if you end up dropping it.

Today I made a mess on the dining room table 🙆‍♀️ those are some of the materials from my BA degree that I collected bc I want to revise some topics in preparation for my upcoming internship! I also drafted another sample solution for the tutoring job (hopefully the last one for this semester) that I’ll edit and send in tomorrow. Also did some household chores in the evening (cleaned the microwave and coffee maker, for instance! Here’s your reminder to clean the little basin collecting the drops off the nozzles tomorrow <3 ) now I’m catching up on the History of Literature podcast and will go to bed soon 😌

~4 hours at work

And as the sun continued to set, the sea became a single golden blue shimmer of indescribable silkiness.

Did two loads of laundry (outrageous how this is a never ending activity. By the time one load is ironed and put away, the basket is already full again 😤), cleaned both bathrooms, vacuumed the place and mopped some floors (having such a hard time getting back into a household routine after the holidays, being with bfs family etc., it’s a whole mess over here) & cooked this stew for Bf and I (I add potatoes to the lentils and Bf loves this dish bc the lentils turn everything else purple smh)

Foggy morning, little studying with jvscholz, reading papers and going for a walk. Classic situation: I humiliate myself to get a cat's attention. Uninterested bf stands by my side and attracts cat. Rude.

Organized chaos at my desk! I just have to work on a more detailed unit lesson plan for after the holidays and then I have to start packing for my trip to Poland. Later, I am going to continue reading "the house in the cerulean sea". I like it so far!
