The best way I can describe it is like when you duplicate an image on your phone, it starts off as the same image but you can make edits to it like cropping or drawing on it so it becomes its own image, but it doesn’t effect the original image you duplicated from.

Say for example the scene where Tony and Steve go back to 1970, everything that happened in the main timeline prior to then remains the same, it only starts to change from the moment they get there, but it doesn’t change the events from their timeline as it’s a duplicate timeline they “edited”

If I tell you this is a horror dance number it still won't prepare you. That last move was so terrifying even the judge was like "Let go! Let go!" If you told me they're actually possessed I'd believe you.

The music is a remix of the song Mere Dholna from the Bollywood movie Bhool Bhulaiyya, a remake of the classic Malayalam horror-comedy Manichitrathazhu. It's about a young bride that seemingly becomes possessed of Manjulika, a dancer of the ancient royal court whose tragic death has turned her into a vengeful spirit, one who evokes the wrath of the goddess Durga Kali. In the iconic scene that is repeated across remakes, the groom and his family discover his bride dancing in the dead of night in a manic, disassociative fugue, wearing a moth-eaten dancer's costume and a face smeared in kohl, ash and vermilion. She's hallucinating that she's Manjulika dancing carefree for the court with her lover. The upbeat music is deliberately incongruous with the pathos and creepiness of the scene in reality, especially as it crescendos in the bride's head to the moment when the king decapitates Manjulika's beloved in a fit of jealous rage.

This specific number is by the all-male troupe B Unique, performed for the Indian reality talent contest Hunabaarz. It's a modern fusion based on Bharatnatyam that turns up the creep factor by 200% and is basically a showcase of contortionism and synchronicity. One of the most perfectly choreographed and executed dances I have ever seen. Truly incredible!

Then obviously Tenoch’s character is like “wtf are you talking about i’d literally follow you anywhere.” even though he has a job in Mexico that pays really well and is like…architecture or whatever idk. Anyways she leaves and they don’t see each for decades cause she just never came back home but there’s like, a death in the community someone everyone was really close to so she comes back for the funeral. There she sees much older,mature Tenoch and can’t help but stare.

✨They lock eyes ✨ in front of the church as people enter to pay their respects. It’s all slowmo and there’s a super romantic motif playing but it’s an instrumental version of their song. They slowly walk to meet each other but lose each other in the crowd.

During the funeral Tenoch is like “i know that ain’t who i thank it is.” and he keeps looking around to find this woman who left him all those years ago.

He finally sees her and keeps glancing at her which is so inappropriate somebody DIED, but he can’t help it(and same lupita fine as hell). When the service ends he rushes towards her and taps her and is like “hey what’s up stranger.”

⏩fast forward a few days/weeks⏩

Tenoch asks her to take a break from her work and go out with him as ✌🏾just friends ✌🏾 so she agrees setting aside her idk dinosaur bone studies or something 😗 and they go out and have some bomb ass food and they pass by this bar and he’s like let’s go dance. She hesitates at first but then takes his hand and goes to dance with him.

They’re all smiley as they begin to walk home and ask about each others lives. Tenoch is like some big time architect now designing buildings all over the place like the creative genius he is. Lupita is thinking about going back to school to get her PhD in dino bits or plants. Then it gets to 💖dating💖He asks if she’s seeing anyone and she says no not currently, but that doesn’t make him feel better because he wants her to be happy, with or without him. She asks him and he’s like here and there but nothing serious (cause let’s be real these two fine ass people pulling somebody ain’t no way they staying single unless it’s a choice)

They end up outside Lupita’s parents home and they’re standing under this little golden light just staring at each other, she’s says she had fun and they continue this prolonged eye contact. She’s like “so are you gonna keep staring or kiss me?” and he does, oh boy does he kiss her 😩 then she’s like “you wanna come inside?” (which is crazy your parents are there have some decorum?) he just chuckles and shakes his head turning away. Waving and yelling goodnight as he walks down the street.

The next day they’re just chilling being friendly and her phone keeps buzzing but she’s ignoring it to focus on him. He’s like “girl i know you wanna answer that phone go head.” so she does and she’s been accepted to the PhD program. She exclaims and tells him and he’s like we gotta celebrate so he plans out this great night and at the end of it they end up on an empty beach and we all know what happens on empty beaches at night 👇🏾

Anyways Lupita wakes up on this towel on the beach and is like “what did i do that for?” she still got feelings for this man but she can’t do anything about it cause she’s leaving and she doesn’t know what to say so she just bolts home. Her flight is leaving later that day!! She is about to rush out the door but thinks better of it writing a letter to Tenoch where she says everything she wants to say and why it won’t work blah blah blah.

Tenoch wakes up smiling but sees she’s gone. He knows she’s leaving soon and won’t try to convince her to stay but he can’t act like he doesn’t still love her so he goes and writes this beautiful poem (we gotta sneak writing in there for tenoch cause his ass can WRITE) he shows up outside her door and knocks and her parents are like “sir she just went to catch a flight. the girl is not here oh. take this letter she left.” he reads it and is like so we feel the same way but she’s not giving me a choice in this.

So he 📚BOOKS 📚 it to the airport and is running around looking crazy(ignore the logistics of anybody running around an airport it’s romantic??) he arrives at her gate and she’s just about to board when he calls out her name. She turns around all dramatic and thats when we get the love confession from him and how he doesn’t care how far she is it doesn’t matter. if she wants to try so does he, he deserves to have a choice.

She looks at him for a second then turns around to board the plane. He shakes his head holding back tears and starts to walk away before he hears his name being called from behind him. He turns around and she runs into his arms nearly knocking him over as they have a very passionate kiss. he likes “why are you being dramatic and acting like you’re about to get on that plane?” she’s like “they have my whole suitcase and i need them to take it off boo.”

anyways she still does end up going back to school in the states but after she’s done they plan on jetsetting around together digging up bones and designing massive buildings until they’re ready to settle down back in Mexico and start a family.

“Do you know why I pulled you over?” is a trap. It means there’s a good chance the officer doesn’t actually have a good reason to ticket you, and is trying to get you to waive your 5th Amendment rights and incriminate yourself. If you make a guess, that’s a confession of guilt.
