Just your annual heads up, Northern Ontario is actively on fire with little resources from the provincial government to combat them. Over 144 fires on record, you've seen the fire from Armstrong and another from Collins, but several First Nations along the corridor have lost their homes and have been displaced. “I had time to run home and pack a bag and get to the beach where the boats were waiting,” said a member of Namaygoosisagagun First Nation (Collins). “We literally had minutes to get on the boats and flee before it took our town. “Once we left my house finally after packing what I could in a pack sack, the fire was right behind our place. We had to run to the beach and once we got there, it was only moments before the fire had jumped over the (train) track and was coming for us.”

Sunday, July 12, my dad's family suffered a devastating loss. His cousin, Marty, died in a car accident in Saskatchewan, leaving behind his wife Tina and their sons.

hello everybody i hate to ask but i am struggling to live with the current budget i am on. even with very frugal shopping i used all but 4 dollars of my money today, with almost all of that money going into medication ($48 aud) and cat food ($47.70 aud).
i get $50aud a fortnight as part of a cleaning job, and i am financially disconnected from the family members i live with for the purpose of escaping their abuse. my money goes into my cat's health first--i can afford to starve but he can't. although like i say i have $4 in my bank account and that isn't enough for even one meal
