Unashamed of What's Important

So, of what I have seen most (fandom and the comic), Wind is portrayed as energetic, happy-go-lucky and generally kind. Although in the comic, we can see he does get angry on behalf of what he believes about the king of Hyrule and the future (featuring his optimism which is a trait he has in most works), and also when the other Links underestimate him and about general well-being of others.

Yep, he is a pretty well-rounded character in the LU comic (thank you Jojo). Though I do wish we could see another more flawed side of him that involves more selfish-esc reasons (not reasons in which he is justified to get angry and such. But, that can still happen sometime. Even if doesn't, I still do really like the og Wind as one might say, I rest my case.

Can't say the same for some major parts of the fandom. If you have seen what I reblogged here before, you know my opinion about that. I get that Wind is definitely not amongst the most popular Links, but sometimes I get very sad with how some people portray him. Which is basically the happy-go-lucky, energetic kid without the stuff I said before that happened in Jojo's comic.

Like, I do know that these traits are what make Wind, Wind, but he's not all the time like that. For God's sake, he is 14, have you known any? They can be assholes sometimes, for absolutely no reason. 'Cause that is just part of growing up too, when you are in early puberty it's even harder to not get angry and scream at people for a multitude of reasons.

Maybe when Wind was 11-12, he was most like what people portray him as, but they literally took away 3 to 2 years of experience and maturity from him (I know it seems too little, but at teenagehood these numbers matter a lot more than when you are an adult). Yes, Wind is still technically a child, not even an older teenager, but the thing is, he ain't a normal 14-year-old either. He can be very serious a lot of the time, and also he is not emotionally immature, there's a lot of times he will be the most level-headed than a lot of the older Links.

And important, he was and is a big brother first, don't take that away from him please.

Let Wind be so annoying and irritating some days that a lot of the other Links will not even want to talk to him. Let him be selfish sometimes. Let him jab the others with harsh words that he will have to apologize for later (if he even recognizes his mistake, which depending on the situation, can take some time. Boy can stubborn for good and bad things). Let him be brutally honest to contrast his general easy-going attitude.

Yeah, Wind is optimistic and he can be a very kind and cute kid, but he's still a teenager going through a lot. He's bound to be rebellious and nitpicky a lot of the times.

Anyways, thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Though, of course you don't have to agree with me. This is just my opinion. But, I will say, a lot of teenagers don't act all cute and selfless most of the time.

Sky

Sky's pokemon are based on in-game creatures/races, unlike basically every other hero.

Charizard - Crimson: Based on his Loftwing in game, Sky definitely is famous for having called him as his starter instead of the standard Pidgey or Spearow.

Pikachu - Remlit: Sky does not have a Remlit himself in game but they're very memorable.

Dugtrio - Mitts: I could not choose just one Mogma but Dugtrio also works as a substitute for Sky's Digging Mitts.

Dragonite - Ballade: I couldn't ignore how perfect Dragonite was for Sky because of the dragons and their role in the story.

Scyther - Fi: Generally based on the sword spirits of the game; Sky needs to have his Fi equivalent.

Snorlax - Slumber: Mostly based on Sky's tendency to sleep but also off of the dreams at the beginning of the game.

Four

Four's pokemon are mostly based on vibes with vague, handwavy connections.

Delphox - Forge: I think it'd be very helpful in the forge and also work as a gift from Dot/her father.

Aegislash - Sword: Definitely the equivalent to the Four Sword, I figure this is probably what happened to the spirit of King Gustaf.

Sylveon - Light: Four is always associated with Eevee, so I decided to give Four the evolution that's most effective against Umbreon.

Aurorus - Royal: I have no memory as to why I gave him Aurorus but it's probably something to do with Kinstones.

Hawlucha - Hero: I'm sorry, this one just fits! It's basically Four if Four was a wrestler!

Goodra - Mini: The animation of the Chuchu boss in Minish Cap altered my brain chemistry when I first saw it and I've decided to memorialize that fact by naming Goodra the big version of all of the early Minish Cap bosses.

Time

Time's pokemon are based mostly on locations and what pokemon I think he'd feel most connected to.

Meganium - Flower: If he can't keep Navi than he can keep the pokemon that matches both his upbringing and his Deku Mask.

Gengar - Healer: Based on both the Song of Healing and the fact Time can drink poes from a glass bottle.

Gyarados - Babs: Completely based on everything Zora related, no need to think too hard.

Ninetales - Night: Mostly just the Keaton Mask but I think it fits his subtle trickster vibes.

Xatu - Day: I figure Time would find comfort in a pokemon that can see both the past and the future.

Mamoswine - Peace: Entirely based on Snowhead but could also double as the equivalent to the Biggoron Sword.

Twilight

Twilight's pokemon are mostly based on the different animals and items in his game.

Samurott - Spring: The only one not based on an animal or item, I figure Rusl gave Spring to Twilight in early childhood.

Zebstrika - Epona: Not his starter but definitely the pokemon he's closest to.

Zoroark - Wolfie: It's basically Twilight and Midna fused into a pokemon, it's the entire reason Twilight is based in Unova at all.

Galvantula - Princess: Basically the only bug type he was able to keep away from Agitha.

Ferrothorn - Spike: Based on the spinner, as well as the ball and chain.

Chandelure - Ghost: Based on all of the ghostly encounters in the game, as well as the Ghost Lantern.

Wind

His pokemon are mostly based on in-game locations and his game's themes of learning/moving on from the past.

Primarina - Aria: Definitely could have been found on Outset and is probably the reason Wind is so good at using the Wind Waker. This also ties him to Legend.

Vikavolt - Beatle: He thought he was funny when he found it in Forest Haven until Beedle learned of little Beat's existence.

Midday!Lycanroc - Sonny: Mostly a connection to Twilight but I also think it works well as a pokemon that originally belonged to Linebeck before attaching itself to Wind.

Turtonator - Canon: Definitely found on the way to save Valoo.

Alolan!Ninetales - Requiem: Mostly based on the whole "Hero of Time's successor" deal.

Dhelmise - Clef: Either found when trying to pull the Triforce pieces out of the ocean or when boarding the ghostship.

I think I made some pretty good teams. I wasn't really thinking about viability so I'd be curious if they all could feasible beat their regions with just these pokemon. I've already started personal challenges with Sky and Four's teams but we'll see how far I get with this experiment.

Link jerks awake and for a moment he's disoriented. His weight is balanced wrong. The wall at his back feels… different.

It takes a moment for him to realise that he's lying down. He's no longer standing chained against a wall, weight resting on shackles around his wrists and the stone at his back.

He's lying down. On a soft bedroll, a blanket laid over him.

Pokemon World Championship AU! I do not have concrete teams for the heroes yet but I will give details about the story idea I have.

Concept: The Pokemon World Championships have arrived in Johto! Time, the long reigning champion of the region (ignore that Johto and Kanto share a champion), is up to his armpits in festival planning, along with the rest of his league and his sister, Prof. Saria Tree. However, Time's attention is forced elsewhere when he's sent an emergency alert; Hoopa has been captured by an unknown figure traveling by wormhole.

Time, not wanting to cause a mass panic, decides to keep this issue as tight-lipped as humanly possible. This leads him to reaching out to the other champions participating in the championships to help him with this investigation during the festivities. All of the champions agree to both help and to keep it a secret.

Now the race is on for the heroes to not only find Hoopa but the identity of the mysterious figure before disaster strikes. Will they be able to stop the figure from abusing Hoopa's power for their own selfish goals or will the mysterious figure take the heroes out one by one? Tune in next time to the Pokemon World Championships!

Ideas:

This is a story where LoZ plots happened in the Pokemon world, not Pokemon existing in Hyrule.

Warriors is the one that alerted Time to the Hoopa issue. Being the current champion of Galar, he thought it a little more than odd that Hoopa or a wormhole would show up in a place neither had ever been seen in.

Wind was the other champion contacted by Warriors personally, seeing as Wind was the first champion of Alola. Warriors had expected Wind to pass the alert onto Alola's professors, not come forward with his own experience inside of wormholes, including extensive explanations on how they worked.

Four was the first champion to show up in Johto because of his own experience with Hoopa. Time had not known Hoopa called Kalos home before Four showed up and demanded to stay until Hoopa was saved.

Twilight is Time's cousin, being Mido's son that was adopted by a nice, Unovan couple. Twilight was the first champion that Time had invited to the championship and also the first champion he asked to be part of the investigation.

Time has been the Johto champion since he was nine. He has not had the responsibilities of champion for nearly as long but he has been undefeated for over two decades.

Legend and Four have been rivals since their early years as champions, having risen to the position around the same time. It's a shame that Sinnoh isn't closer to Kalos because they'd take the time to have weekly fights if they could.

Wild was not supposed to be the champion that showed up to the World Championships, leaving him to play catchup while Flora is one of the few non-champions that knows about the mystery plot. Luckily, they know something about portals and alternate worlds due to Area Zero basically becoming their new favorite place to explore.

Sky is Time's newest rival, having become the champion of Kanto only a few years ago. Despite their clashing views they respect each other greatly and have each other's back when it counts.

Hyrule was still debating on whether he should not go to the World Championships when Time sent the emergency alert. Hyrule doesn't really think he's qualified but his experience with the Weather Trio might be helpful so he decides to keep his place in the fights.

Other Link's and Zelda's show up as other competitors during the bracket fights as exceptionally talented trainers. They're not really relevant to the story but they are there.

Holy Golden Three, hell yeah brother!!

I wanted to make a more detailed post and explain a bit further and all but. Long story short, I had sepsis and almost died. Surprise!

I started feeling pain in my leg, which had a intramedullary nail and three screws since 2019. They got infected at some point in the past year, I got them removed, but now with recovery I wanna help out to pay for my meds…

So my commissions now go for both my health and the old lady, because yes, she still needs meds and check ups, even if I haven’t been able to go cause walking is hard atm. The prices have gone up just a bit.
