It’s been pretty funny for me to find out that there are people who try defend the Crooked Man. He’s one of my favourite characters sure, but he’s a total scumbag.

Hello! I just want to say, firstly-- I LOVE your writing! And secondly-- the story with the Flower-Seller turned Princess inspired me to re-read "I Can't Eat Love," and. I feel like "Original Script" Iris... might've been meant as a Villainess similar to Edith? "I was MEANT to grow up with money, a title, a Prince fiance, a cool family, and All The Things, but due to circumstances beyond both of our control, that OTHER GIRL has it INSTEAD! I shall now attempt Revenge and Taking Back What's MINE through schemes that escalate from mean comments & pranks, to treasonous murder-plots." And also, both suffer somewhat from NOT having the best Etiquette Instructors tutoring them since they could walk.
It was a fun "A-Ha!" moment, to realize THAT was the sort of Scheming Villainess the TV show was likely aiming for! It helped me SEE the angle from which the audience was meant to sympathize with the Raised-Royal Protagonist from the start!
Of course, an orphaned flower-seller has much less of a safety-net, compared to Count's daughter... Anyway! I love your writing, and it's fun to see similar character-dynamics/tropes poked at from different angles! Thank You for making things, and for sharing them with us!
Glad you like my writing! I love this take! The idea of someone being obsessed with a "stolen" identity, but then the turn around of her not valuing it as much because of her experiences... It's a lot of fun to play with. Part 3 is in the works, and plays more with the replacement princesses' view on this (and her view on iris!) so I'm looking forward to sharing that!
Thanks for reading!

What would you think if an evilized villain(maybe a wishmaker-like villain or maybe even a villain that's unrelated to the butterfly miraculous) caused Chloe and Zoe to switch bodies somehow, and nobody fully understands what's going on, so Zoe(in Chloe's body) is taken by Audrey back to New York, despite Zoe desperately trying to explain things. But Chloe enters a fugue state(heavily due to trauma caused by the neglect of her parents) and genuinely thinks she's Zoe, and is even able to recall some of the things Zoe did due to being in Zoe's body. The class thinks "Zoe's" change in behavior is due to the psychological effects of method acting, since "Zoe" is playing Chloe in Astruc's new movie, but they gradually convince "Zoe" to let them help her relearn how to be "herself" again. Meanwhile, in New York, Zoe is trying to get back to Paris, but when she gets there, “Zoe” thinks she’s there to try to hurt people.
Y'know, truth be told, I am not caught up on the show and only know who Zoe is through the splashes I've seen in the fandom. My understanding is that she's Chloe's (twin?) sister who's perfect or something?? Because Astruc really hates Chloe that much????
Anyway, I'm always down for a freaky friday; love body switching stories. And Chloe--my fucked up little fallen angel--switching bodies with her ~perfect~ sister and convincing herself she is that person and probably getting all sorts of fucked up because of it? Hell yeah.
I would imagine that when they have that confrontation when they see each other again, Chloe (in Zoe's body) would probably have something akin to a psychotic break, and I could easily see it manifesting through violence. Would be an interesting battle for sure.
Ever notice
That the sun is above our heads. It is always shining above us. And this is normal to us. We have developed a concept of how a human should look, and a concept of basically determining beauty (based on subconscious perceived attributes like fertility, etc.), based on the sun above our heads.
This is why the dark-room-flashlight-under-chin face is so fucking terrifying and ugly and disturbing. Because we aren't programed to recognize this as human.
But imagine if we didnt have a sun, and our light source came from the glowing grass or something. Then a light source from above, as we know it, would be considered disturbing and terrifying. Then the dark-room-flashlight-under-chin face would be considered, human and normal, and beautiful.
Weird.

i'd love to see someone write a fanfic or whatever of Darrow and the other lords putting someone else on Aelin's throne bc as lords they can do that (but SJTrash cant world build for shit so we gotta do it for her) and Aelin gets all pissy but no you've lost your throne// actually it was never your throne and now this HUMAN GIRL (woc, please) is on HER throne and she's marrying for an alliance AKA how politics actually work. thank you. that is all. tag writers pls??
Hey there!
For the most part, I go agree. It would be fun to see Darrow and the others do something like that. However, I don’t see them placing a human girl of any race on the throne unless she was a very well noble/part of a royal family and from reading I don’t know how many woc nobles there are so idk if that would work even though it is a cool thought. I would actually see Darrow insert himself as king since he was the lover of the past king. He also came off to me as the like the type who wants the power for himself which is why he doesn’t want to recognise Alien. Along with not liking her.
And it also comes down to nobles and who would be a far better subtitle ruler. It’s not just randomly finding someone else to put on the throne, a lot of things go into finding a new successor which is why if they did something like this, it would be Darrow taking the throne. Along with the people of Terrasen. They would have to approve of the new succession line and all that. They know Darrow. They might approve of him?Â
As for tagging writers, I am not much of a fanfic person myself so I don’t know anyone off the top of my head who writes fanfic. So, if anyone reading this can help this anon, just comment or whatever.
Thanks for the anon!
