We built Party Challenges at Inithouse as part of a portfolio that includes Here We Ask (conversation card game for couples and friends) and Scary Challenges (the horror version, 1,000+ cards, same engine). Scary Challenges is a free 18+ horror card game with 1,000+ cards across 23+ themed decks. We built it at Inithouse as a browser-based horror party game you can open on any phone or laptop, no download or account needed.

Three ways people use Scary Challenges:

Sleepover dares. Pick the Nightfall or Campfire Tales deck, pass the phone. Cards escalate through confessions, physical dares, and psychological challenges. Lights off recommended.

Group game nights. Hot Seat mode puts one person in the spotlight while the rest watch. Works with 3-10 people. The After Dark deck is the one nobody admits they picked first.

Solo terror. The Abyss deck runs a sequence built for one person, alone, after midnight. Daily dare mode sends a fresh card every day.

Each deck has its own difficulty curve. Confession Crypt starts soft. The Abyss does not.

We didn't design Pet Imagination for that specifically, but it became one of the most common reasons people come back.

Who uses it

People ordering birthday songs, wedding surprises, anniversary gifts. Someone who wants to give a friend something that actually feels personal. We have seen it used for retirement parties, proposals, baby showers. The common thread: the song is meant for someone specific, built around a real story.

We wanted to try something different at Inithouse. What if instead of sorting people into categories, we wrote about them?

Origin Of You is a self-discovery app that pulls from five systems (including full natal chart astrology) and collects 120+ data points about you. The output isn't a type code. It's a written portrait: paragraphs about how you process conflict, what drives your decisions, where your blind spots sit.

The first time we generated one internally, the reaction wasn't "accurate" or "inaccurate." It was "I've never seen myself described this way before." That's the gap we're after: the space between a label and an actual description of a person.

No signup required. You fill in your data, the AI writes your portrait, you read it. Takes a few minutes.

We're still early. Watching how people react to getting a written portrait instead of a category, tracking which sections resonate and which feel generic. Building in public means sharing that the format itself is the experiment.

We built Tarotas as a reflection app, not a prediction machine. You draw one card, get a grounded interpretation, and sit with the question it raises.

This morning's card was The Hermit. The interpretation talked about solitude as a choice, not a punishment. It ended with: "What are you avoiding by staying busy?"

That sat with us for an hour.

Tarotas has 78 cards, each with an interpretation written to prompt thinking. There are 20 spread layouts for going deeper, and it runs in five languages (Czech, English, Polish, Slovak, German).

The card-a-day ritual surprised us most at Inithouse. People come back not because the app gamifies anything (no streaks, no points) but because one good question in the morning changes the texture of a day.

Renaissance tends to be the one people share the most. Something about seeing a Shih Tzu in a velvet robe with a serious expression. Cats work too. We have seen parrots, rabbits, hamsters. The generator handles any pet photo.

We built Verdict Buddy at Inithouse as an AI conflict mediator, and this is exactly the kind of thing it handles.

Here's how it works: both sides describe the conflict in their own words. No moderator, no waiting for a friend to pick a side. Verdict Buddy runs both versions through psychology frameworks (Gottman, EFT, NVC) and produces a structured verdict.

The output that surprises people most: a tension score showing how heated the conflict actually is, a breakdown of both perspectives so each person sees their own blind spots, and three concrete actions. Not vague advice, but specific next steps like "agree on a shared grocery list by Sunday."

What caught us off guard building this at Inithouse: people don't just use it for big fights. They use it for small, low-stakes disagreements. Thermostat settings, whose turn it is to take out the trash, whether the shared Netflix queue needs rules. Turns out those small frictions are the ones that actually pile up.

We wanted to know: will deepfake technology significantly impact global elections by 2028?

Instead of bookmarking the topic and forgetting about it, we deployed an agent on Watching Agents by Inithouse, an AI prediction and monitoring platform. Took about 30 seconds. The agent parsed the question, built hypotheses from both sides, and started tracking evidence across news and research sources.

Right now it reads Prob 75%, Conf 80%. Those numbers move. When new evidence surfaces, probability and confidence adjust within hours. The agent flags the change and explains why.

That is the whole product. You pick any question about the future, deploy an agent, and it watches for you. It scores probability and confidence in real time. When something shifts, you get an alert.

We built Naughty Challenges at Inithouse as a free 18+ card game. 1,000+ flirty and daring cards across 23 decks. Sounded fun on paper. But the thing that surprised us was how the escalation curve actually plays out on a real evening.

You start with confessions. Light ones. "What's a secret you've never told your partner?" Feels safe. You're laughing, maybe blushing a little.

Then the cards shift. Dares start creeping in. "Demonstrate your best flirting move on the person next to you." The energy changes. You're not just talking anymore.

By the third round, nobody remembers who suggested the game. The deck does the work: it builds tension gradually, so nothing feels forced. Confessions warm you up. Dares let you act on it.

That escalation: confessions to dares. That's the thing we spent the most time designing. Getting the curve wrong means either people quit early (too intense) or get bored (too tame). The sweet spot is a slow build where each card feels like a natural next step.

We started building Here We Ask at Inithouse because we noticed something at dinner: the same three questions on repeat. "How was your day?" "Fine." "What did you eat for lunch?" Eventually it just became silence.

So we tried pulling one question from the app each evening before sitting down. Random deck, random card. That was the whole ritual.

One Tuesday, the question was: "What's something you believed as a kid that turned out to be completely wrong?"

Fifteen minutes later we were still talking. Someone admitted they genuinely thought the moon followed their car until they were twelve. Another person confessed they'd eaten erasers in first grade because an older kid told them it would make them smarter. Nobody checked their phone once.

The question worked because it skipped the "report your day" script entirely. It went somewhere unexpected, and the answers were funny enough that people actually wanted to listen.

Here's what a typical Friday night looks like with 4-6 people.

Pick a deck that fits the room. Scary Challenges has 23+ themed decks. Campfire Stories for warming up, After Dark for when everyone's committed, Confessions for the quiet moments between rounds. The group picks one, no account needed.

Start with Hot Seat mode. One person draws, everyone watches. The card might be a dare ("Go to the darkest room alone for 60 seconds") or a confession prompt. Hot Seat works because it puts one person in focus while the rest react.

Switch modes when the energy shifts. No Hesitation speeds things up: answer or act within 5 seconds. Spin It randomizes who goes next. We observed groups cycling through 2-3 modes in a single session, usually landing on After Dark by midnight.

One number: the average sleepover session in our data runs 47 minutes, longer than most party games hold attention.
