But during and even after the campaign, Brae was hesitant to report back to Laranthir; Brae had physically changed under Mordy's influence, a touch bigger and with dragonlike horns and sharp fangs, decided to be assumed dead like the rest of his band. Instead then, Brae took up bounty hunting all across Central Tyria.

And after Mordremoth's defeat, Dahlian never quite got back to the Nightmare Court the way he was prior. Not for lack of trying, but more... his particular cell of Courtiers had either died or became despondent so he wandered some and intended to return, just to find his skill for healing preceded him afterwards, even inbetween Wardens still hunting him down for his crimes against the Dreamers. Dahlian began what I call his villain decay, in which he's not really less of a bastard personality-wise, but his priorities shifted enough that he saves his Worst for who he thinks Earns it and patches up the bystanders or the threats to him/his freedom/etc if it gets him outta situations. But still, the Wardens's warrant for his arrest looms over his life.

And Brae, using the name Helleboras and a mesmer enchanted cloak (maybe, still deciding the item) to often hide under a human disguise, picks up bounties from most anyone, a lone mercenary for hire for the right purposes and price. He remembers Dahlian better than Dahlian does him, which makes it fun(ny) when he spots that thorn-headed face on a Wanted line-up shared between the Wardens and the Seraph.

And Dahlian tries to outrun all reputation in Central Tyria, and fails when one lone bounty hunter follows him out. Technically, he's not even the biggest bounty to bag, but that's not the point now.

The point, when Brae puts a gun to the elementalist's head, is that Dahlian should keep to his recent alstruism if he wants to keep his free life, and Brae intends to keep him to it, a reward for saving his own life.
