a random kodan
you know what? can't be bothered to post on reddit anymore bc they're a bunch of whiny killjoys so I'm gonna put my personal list of wishes for gw3 here and I'm welcoming everyone's additions to discuss 1. better cc naturally:
for the love of everything don't gender hair anymore
longer hair
color wheel for everything
sliders for the body as well as face features
nonbinarism? pls?
don't put changing your hair behind a paid one time use item. i'd rather have paid hairstyles, tattoos, makeup, beards etc that you can buy and have forever.
2. Unpopular opinion maybe but I'd be fine with classless system where your class is defined by the skills you find, unlock and put on. Probably gonna be a nightmare to balance...
3. One mount that you can spec into different strengths and weaknesses (this one I'm kinda expecting to be an actual thing in the game already)
4. Interesting npcs you can take with you to do content gw1 and ff14 style. And I'll say it: if there's some flirting involved i wouldn't be mad about it!
5. Dyeable weapons. Surely new engine means whatever prevented them from doing it in 2 is gone. I think the dye system of gw2 is quite nice and doesn't need changing. Maybe some more colors tho.
6. Here I would say housing but I'll be real - most modern online games absolutely FAIL it. The most basic furniture like a wall is expensive and takes 8 hours to make, clunky placement system, too many paid packs and so on. So even if we have it I'm not gonna get excited until I see how it's implemented.
7. Practical AND Slutty armors for everyone. Gw2 has been doing quite well on that front in recent years so I'm pretty hopeful here.
8. I don't particularly need a whole 1-60 questline for each background but it would be really nice to have flavor text here and there. I would also not mind a stat difference between player species where a kodan is stronger but asura is more nimble.
I'm so excited that Guild Wars 3 is crossplay! I get to play with one of my best pals coz he's always on PC but I'm a console girlie 💕
I wonder if gw3 will have an elven race that's not elves. Like sylvari. I mean I'm excited for the possibility of playable kodan (and i think that little video we got is a hint of that), but also I want a sylvari-esque race.

Reading through the new article for Guild Wars 3
Pretty much reconfirming what we already know, that there'll be no subscription fees and there'll be no battle passes (thank goodness..)
They mention that they're wanting it to respect peoples time.
The bit about it being somewhere in between GW1 and GW2 is interesting.
Do we think it's going have settlements and social hubs be where we see other players as well as world bosses and meta events, and then the bulk of it is instanced to a solo player/group
or(r)
Could it be they're bringing over the option to have henchmen/companions help out in the over world for those who might not have time to wrangle together a group and/or would like an easier time soloing?
Or could it be something else? What are folks thoughts on this?
