big feelings in the middle of the night (for me) but im just SO frustrated about spn and the way Dean was written, and his potential.

LIKE JUST IMAGINE if his storyline with Jack was expanded and actually developed. I'm so mad that he held such a strong grudge towards him??? That is not a Dean thing to do. I believe that at the beginning he should've been so angry and confused (like he was), mainly because this is the son of the guy who tormented Sam, and wanted to destroy the world, but after some time he also should've realized how Jack is a kid who just so happened to come from evil, but had potential for more. It could've been a great development for Dean, with how in the past he couldn't put aside the demon blood thing with Sam, believing he fundamentally had an evil in him,and overall being conflicted and never really coming to terms with his brother still being himself, to help raise Jack, who was conceived by a human and the devil, and see beyond the people who shaped them.

Him raising Sam and having to come to terms with him being a vessel for Lucifer, as well as perhaps raising Jack, the son of said angel, could've been a great parallel. But yeah, let's just ignore all the development of Dean slowly accepting supernatural beings as bad AND good, like the vampire nest, or the antichrist kid, the baby shapeshifter who he protected... Yeah, totally makes sense

Idk I'm just venting, I love Dean, and even tho it was shown he accepted Jack at some point, I feel it just wasn't enough, and it had way more potential. Im too tired for this so it might not make much sense lol
