Eldritch All Hallows’ Eve Binge 2026
What the hell is this thing 👀?
This is an event celebrating all things horror in the SPN fandom, taking place from 10.01.2026 to 10.31.2026—Haloween month. To sign up, all you have to do is fill out the form below and submit at least one item. And that’s it. Let's take a closer look.
This is a low-pressure event with plenty of time to fulfill. Just pick your personal brand of horror from the tropes below to create one or more fanworks. It’s not mandatory to fill in all the listed tropes (obviously), but you can combine them.
You must submit your creations to the event email before September 15, 2026: [email protected]
The moderators will schedule your posts for the Ao3 collection we've created for this challenge. You can post wherever you want after posting on our Ao3 collection, but the Eldritch All Hallows’ Eve Binge Ao3 post goes first. The moderators will promote the challenge on social media.
An Ao3 account is not mandatory, but if you don’t have one, you'll need to team up with someone who does, so you can post your work together on our Ao3 collection. If you'd like to open an Ao3 account and would like an invitation, please contact the moderator.
Rules
All participants must be 18+
Your work must be horror-themed. Throw the fluff out the window. There are tons of bangs out there to get cuddly. Challenge yourself to make something different.
All works must be new and not shared outside the Eldritch server until their scheduled posting day.
You must join our Discord server for this event, as collaboration among creators will be encouraged. Authors, artists, podficers, soundtrackers, vidders, etc., can team up to create something together. Once you submit the sign-in form, you'll receive a link to join the Eldritch server. If you're not on Discord, don't worry—we'll walk you through it step by step.
The main character in your work must be a character from SPN or SPN/RPF. No actor/actress’s real kids and family are allowed.
Crossovers are allowed as long as they are horror (books, movies, comics, TV shows, podcasts, etc.) and must be tagged appropriately. Just to be clear, you can set your story in Stephen King's Salem's Lot, but not in Julia Roberts’ Notting Hill. My Bloody Valentine, Devour, House of Wax, or Friday the 13th are allowed, but Countdown or Walker are not. Original characters are allowed and encouraged. You can write an outsider pov as long as it’s about a SPN character.
There are no content restrictions; the “dead dove” or “underage” tags are allowed, but must be clearly stated. All ships are allowed, though none is required. Please use an actual rating: Gen, Mature, or Explicit for your work. All Ao3 archive warnings are allowed. Beta is not mandatory, but it is encouraged.
The use of Generative AI in this event is prohibited.
Although you can fly solo, this is a collaborative event. On our Discord, we’ll form teams to share and create stuff together. Good times.
Tropes and ships are the backbone on which the teams will be built on Discord
While we ask for your name on the form, you can post anonymously on Ao3 if you choose to.
What can I submit?
You can submit one or more of the options listed below. On the sign-in form, you don't have to choose what you're going to do yet—just that you promise to make something. You can write for your art and art for your writing, but collaborating with others is more fun. You can write sequels as long as they can be read as stand-alones. For the last options below, make sure your words/images are NOT AI-generated because the Internet is stuffed with AI slop and it's easy to get deceived.
