I try to fight it. I do. My soul yearns for the land's peace. Maybe in a different life I could've done it. I could've succeeded. But not this one.

It's tiring. All I do is fight. But I fear it is destined to be endless. It cannot be stopped. I try best. But it cannot be stopped. I wander, to try and find a place where it can be balanced. But it cannot be stopped.

I feel it in every fibre of my being. Like every part of me is waging it's own war. It burns. The flames ignite without recourse refusing to be doused.

However, there is nothing I can do but take one step after the next. As much as it feels like I should give in and rest, I cannot. Not for a single moment.

People walk in the distance, it is just another day to them. They don't feel what is in the air. What is coming. Maybe it's better for them this way. Maybe they do know, but willingly ignore it for their own sake? Who's to say.

But I know. Those dull clouds will twist and darken. These people won't live to see the future they don't think about.

Conflict will rise up and give birth to death. Blood is in the air, and as the hours go by the scent will deepen.

The ground shall be stained evermore with that which was once life.
