Now I've read something that I still don't understand (and would like to).
People on social media call it ridiculous and cringe about how writers continue to portray the way Charles expresses himself about Erik. "He's very gay," they say. "In the original series it wasn't like that" they also comment (which, by the way, is the continuity of the 92 series). "That's how friends treat each other" I also read.
But, lemme say this.
They were always dramatic. Whoever has seen Magneto's speeches will understand. They have always made Charles a person who speaks very poetic. There is no hidden material that reveals how much what happens to the other affects them. and they talk and talk in a poetic way. So yes, they're intense about how they relate. Just accept that they've always been like this.
But what makes me laugh the most is that you are a fan of Xmen, which was born as a criticism of the segregation, discrimination, hatred and displacement of all minorities (and that still persists) in history, and you get angry that two characters share, regardless of who it is, a little of this message?
Wow.
